I would like to give this game a thumb up, but it has has way to many fatal errors, resolution problems, and I cannot place it in full screen, plus it should have portal of some kind to TP back up to the top level once you go very deep into the dungeon, as for the game play, it is entertaining and habit forming, Over all, the Devs could really put some work into this game, and make it special, it's worth it in my Opinion
It's abandoned. Game breaking bug when exiting underground, which is basically where everything is except for trees and mud and basic base building. Someone help GameMechanic. They need help.
was hyped for this game and what it had in store but the dev just abandoned the game not much content very buggy tons of glitches and the game crashes alot i have lost alot of progress and redoing the same thing gets boring the game almost feels like a scam with so little content and tons of glitches the dev wont fix.
its not good and not fun
Abandoned Game. Don't buy it.
I don't leave many reviews for games, but this one was an exception because I felt like there was a lot of promise for this game that never went anywhere. To start off the good parts, the graphics are pretty cool it does look like adventure time which is what the dev was going for. The world is aesthetically pleasing overall. If you want a very mindless game this would be good for you as there's not much to do in the game besides go into dungeons and build. There are some relics that make some changes to your character giving you some buffs, they are pretty nice but there's no need to use them because there aren't many challenges in this game from entities in the dungeons Now for the bad, the entities in the dungeons are very easy and simplistic they bring almost zero challenge to the player as they have a very basic combat mechanic. They have a variety of potions in the game but I have only used the luck potion for getting loot, I haven't had any challenges in this game. The weapons are pretty bland with just different stats with a couple types of weapons. The magic in the game is decent but again it's just bland, I got beyond bored and just spammed magic at entities. Building is okay there's not much variety but it's okay for the game I just wish they put some more work into it because they could of made it a lot better. There was a discord server for the game but from my understanding it got nuked. There are still a lot of bugs in the game that are game breaking not allowing people to leave dungeons and the dev hasn't really made any attempts to correct them so people are having to create new worlds just for this one bug not allowing the player to leave the only part of the game that brings some entertainment. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone, there isn't much to do in the game, the dev isn't active in the community much and there aren't many updates that add anything to the game beside bug fixes (sometimes). I felt like this could of potentially been a cash grab promoted all over social media just to get a quick buck i'm not sure if it's true but it feels like a game that fits in that scenario.
It isn't often I write negative reviews. I just wrote a very positive review for Rising World. Tales of Morrow is very much the kind of game, I like to play. The game started out all interesting and I managed to build a house on the starter island and with a bit of figuring out what was needed how to make things like paper and iron, I made the biggest possible ship. All materials were available on the first island and then the problems started: - When building, all of a sudden a floor piece couldn't be put down, without any sort of message as to why. Then I needed to select a wall piece and move back to the floor piece and it all of a sudden worked again. - When walking around and looking in my inventory, I noticed my hunger was at 0, but there was no penalty for that. - There is no music in the game, so it is kinda quiet. - When entering a dungeon and leveling up and then leaving the dungeon before assigning the skill points, they disappear. - When removing wrongly built floors / walls, you don't get the material back. - Last thing I did before writing this review was enter a dungeon, seeing a big skeleton, so initially wanted to click the Link totem, but decided I wanted to go back out and then the game crashed with a Fatal Crash message. It is unbelievable that this game is so unfinished, yet not in Early Access mode.
The game is AWESOME! BUT!!! Entering the Dungeon is a trap currently. You can go as deep as you want (my first run i went 6 portals down, collected lots of loot/potions/artifacts but as soon as you go back to enter the surface the game crashes showing "Fatal error!" in which the only choice is to close the game. Please fix this devs, the game is great but its unplayable when all your progress is at stake if you enter the dungeon even for 1 second. Really dont want to put a thumbs down as its a great game with some promising foundations but this bug/glitch currently makes 75% of the game unplayable.
I'm still holding out a lot of hope for this game. I love to see indy devs do well and can be pretty patient when I hit bugs. One thing that would go far towards stemming the flow of refunds and less than stellar reviews would be some communication with the player base. Yeah, it's just after release and you're booty deep in gators with the bug situation. I feel for ya! Just let us know we aren't swinging in the breeze and that you've prioritized the fix list and are moving forward. There are good bones here and I'm not talking about the skeletons. It's a sound game and I'm looking forward to playing more as soon as it's possible to progress. I'm giving a conditional recommendation here and my condition is "do the thing" and don't give up! You got this.
dev just dipped and it was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cash grab, i tired to enjoy it cause i spent good money on it but it isnt worth it at all :(
