Accesses PC information unrelated to the game as well as creates files outside of the game folder "as part of the game". Regardless if this in a joking manner, threatening corruption of files after establishing the game can scatter files across the PC unhindered, this shouldn't be taken lightly. USE AT OWN RISK Response to reply: Uhm, if my first impression of the game is that it was made by an inexperienced individual considering the quality, it is not a good feeling seeing the same game plays around with files outside of the game and mentioning file corruption. Okay, if this is a central point in the game (I wouldn't know, I did not finish it), give a heads up for this in both the steam store and in-game. It is not the fault of the user for being surprised about this, and with the amount of asset flippers and bitcoin miners released on Steam, it is only reasonable to be careful. All pieces of software have bugs, are you held responsible if something goes wrong? And if so, how would the compensation look like? I don't recommend the game because I did not enjoy it. The sounds were obnoxious to the point of muting the game up until
the part where you are told to Alt-F4 and if you don't nothing happens, when the game starts again, it just repeated that cutscene. I guess you're not meant to remove the "super important folder" as it contains the save files.
Me not leaving a positive review does not tremendously ruin your chances of being successful, it is entirely up to you. If you were to market the game more correctly, perhaps I would have other expectations and thus not be disappointed? Ah, good research. I am really lazy with writing reviews for games, so I will only write one if it is exceptionally good or bad. I believe the reason I even wrote some to begin with was because there lacked any reviews for that game.
Rating games as 'bad' just for the sake of saying they're bad isn't reviewing it's just abusive
What? I can imagine spending time on making a game and then hear it's not good to be devastating. But, did I say that it was bad in my review? I wanted to make sure people knows this in advance of installing and playing - as I can imagine many are uncomfortable with it. A bit of a reach, but is giving Cyberpunk a negative review considered abusive? Or does it only apply to the critique-free "indie developers"? Once again, I did not like the game and I have now given - although not requested - a bit of context to why I did not enjoy the game. if I had the opportunity of reading a similar review ahead of starting playing, I might not had started playing it and would not have a negative experience. That is the point of reviews - whether or not it is worth your time and/or money. So sure, if many have a negative experience it will get a bad rating and "ruin indie developers chances of being successful" - but that is deserved at that point. Like I said, I know you feel strongly about your game that you have put time and effort into. But you have to realise that no game is perfect - yours is far from it. So, it is inevitable that you will have to decide whether or not to improve the game based on feedback. (I would suggest general play testing). OR, you are confident in your game and want to preserve everything about it, but please keep in mind that your game is very niche and will only be suitable for a specific audience - thus, you must get used to getting negative reviews. Also, anyone can be an "indie developer" solely by releasing a game, and there are no inherit indicators of skill or experience, so simply by the sheer amount of "indie developers", many of their games will be garbage. Indie refers to not being established, thus, includes an enormous amount of developers (including 14 y/o's small game projects) as well as no indication of "success" - as you put it. But good thing that you are taking time to read reviews, but consider asking for feedback next time. That, is the way to improve your game, not calling your users "abusive" or neglecting their opinion because you're an indie developer (The majority of the games on Steam is indie).

I got up to the part where they asked you to place a file in the game's data. Absolutely nothing happened. Was I supposed to just sit there and wait or something? There's no indication whatsoever. Plus, it was a hassle to access my desktop since the game isn't windowed. I actually closed the game after obtaining the file, and it sent me all the way back to when I had to find the remaining three relics (or whatever they're called). No thank you. I understand the developers tried not to do any hand-holding, but I got so confused at times as to where to go and what to do because nothing is streamlined. I also can't tell sometimes when the game is intentionally buggy or UNintentionally buggy; I actually broke the game at one point by falling off the map while my perspective was glitched (the perspective thing was intentional, I'm pretty sure falling off the map was not). Plus, pressing E only starts, and restarts, dialogue with NPCs; it doesn't scroll through all of it. I had to figure out on my own to click the mouse to progress dialogue, and by the time I figured it out, I'd probably missed a lot of information at the very beginning. Also, the prompt to press E was very erratic, just randomly showing up and disappearing. I'm sorry, but in this game's current state, I can't recommend it. I was so enthusiastic about giving it a try at first, because I saw from the description it had some inspiration by Doki Doki Literature Club. But now I'm just terribly frustrated.

First of all, I would like to thank the developer and the other players to answer me stupid questions about my course. There was a part of the game that you would need to find something in an inclined view with very crude mosaic. My eyes ached after several minutes, so I have to quit the game (with Alt+F4, since there's no in-game menu or exit function provided) and for this reason may not try it anymore. The story so far is quite jumpy, which remains me of Thirty Flights of Loving. I also encountered some game-breaking bugs, like dropping from the edge of the map and stuck in the volcano, in which case you have to shut down the game and restart it from the last checkpoint.
It's basically The Room of video games but instead of the terrible charm that movie gives this only gives that terrible part. Yeah, you can carry the excuse its from a first timer and its free, so I'll give it that, but no. Even to those standards it does not hold up and when it falls on its face when attempting anything meta it just installs worrying files onto your computer without any notice. Just keep on browsing, man, invest your time into something interesting.
