Still playing the game, but so far it is a great game with allot of story lore and things to discover, I love the ability to build stuff and the prices so far to obtain blueprints is fair, many of the side quest provide enough pay that it does not feel like a big grind. The developer has a great vision in his work, and I cant wait to see how this game will evolve. Keep up the great work DJ Monkey
Welt entdecken, bauen, anpflanzen und Rätsel lösen....liebe dieses Spiel :D
Tales from The Dancing Moon throws you back to the golden age of RPGs with its isometric view and old school vibes, but throws in a modern twist with a deep, mysterious story that'll leave you really thinking about it (in a positive way!). There are many ingredients from amnesia, a strange town full of mysteries, and the freedom to farm, build, and explore at your own pace. No pressure to slay dragons here! Relax, discover the town's mysteries, and become friend of some strange characters along the way. The soundtrack's like a warm blanket for your ears, and the solo Developer is super passionate about making this game the best it can be and you can engage and give feedback on Discord (kudos!). It's still Early Access, so expect some bumps along the way, and the world might feel a tad small for now. But hey, that just means more content to look forward to... I really recommend this little gem!
Really excellent little farming / life sim! I've been following this progress since a reddit thread many moons ago, and I had played the demo awhile back, so I was pretty pleased when this got released early access. It's really amazing stuff for a solo dev: the core gameplay loop is solid and the story is pretty good (though I think it telegraphs where it's going a bit too early). There are no showstopping bugs or crashes that I have encountered so far, and the developer is super available and helpful on discord. It's certainly still early days for it- my only real recommendation is to add a little more content, as the world seems a bit small and sparse still. at 12 bucks, this is a definite buy for me!
Large game with a bigger scope. Classic isometric camera with modern graphics gives a great nostalgic with more modern and solid design. Incredibly well made especially when you consider it’s a one-man team. I'm only just through Act 1 and there’s more mechanics still being introduced and keeping me interested. Despite the varied and expansive mechanics, you don't feel bullied into using them all allowing you to work out how you best want to approach them which I appreciate. Gameplay wise you don't feel rushed either, being rewarded for exploring or just crafting rather than going full throttle to get to the end. Combat is a little rough and feels a little clumsy but it’s still rewarding to kill slimes (an RPG must) and I look forward to seeing how that develops. The story is a key draw with this game. It’s an impressively deep and well-crafted mystery with a ton of lore and great characters to interact with that will keep you engaged for hours. You want to explore this land. You want to interact with the locals. You want to progress the story. You want to understand all the little oddities you come across but the game allows you to do so at your own pace. Fantastic fun game so far and easy enough to pick up after even a stressful day. Thoroughly recommend.
its too bad this game doesnt have more attention. runs great on steam deck.
I'm enjoying this, not too far in yet. I asked an AI chat to recommend me something similar to Brighter Shores and single player, this was a recommendation. So far I am seeing it, much more questing in this game which I enjoy. I'll share more the more I play.
Loved this game from beginning to end and at the end, I didn't want it to end!
love it
