RPG Maker strikes again! Tale's Casino Escape is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Gamers who want a good retro JRPG experience would be better off playing the originals, like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean or Chrono Trigger. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 4 players. That's right, only 4. This is a pitiful enough number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is remarkable, but also to be expected. This complete and utter rejection of the game from gamers should be a keen information point for anyone considering buying shovelware like this. Gamers just didn't take this seriously, and for good reason. There's indications some of the reviews are fake, but I couldn't confirm this due to the lack of reviews from known culprits and the lack of reviews from direct Steam purchasers. That doesn't mean it didn't happen, it just means if the game does have fake reviews, the developers are terrible at review manipulation. Regardless, the positive reviews for an asset flip of such poor quality is remarkable to the point of being highly unlikely. While the developer is giving this asset flip away for free, making it less of a cash grab than most, it's still not worth downloading.

Tale’s Casino Escape has a lot of potential. This RPG style might not make it unique, but the story and characters certainly do. With a bit of improvement and some lowering of difficulty, it can become a title worthy of your time.

Looks a game with simple graphics and commands, but its a really fun game that you can play anywhere. i liked the big amount of playstyles with weapons and allies, the different enemies and bosses. I recommend

O sistema de combate é simples mas até que divertido. É um jogo graficamente simples e que deveria rodar liso em qualquer PC fraco, porém por motivo de falta de polimento eu creio, o jogo trava sempre que passa por uma bandeira de save. Acredito que o maior problema desse jogo de fato seja a falta de polimento em relação aos combates, com as telas de combos, além da movimentação da personagem. Fora isso, é um jogo com bastante potencial.

Игра 'Tale's Casino Escape' - это увлекательная и захватывающая визуальная новелла с элементами point-and-click. Сюжет мгновенно затягивает, погружая в мир интриг и опасностей криминального казино, где каждое решение имеет последствия. Персонажи хорошо проработаны и вызывают эмпатию, хочется узнать их истории и помочь выбраться из передряги. Головоломки не слишком сложные, но достаточно интересные, чтобы заставить задуматься и почувствовать себя настоящим детективом. Визуальный стиль приятный, атмосфера казино передана отлично. Нелинейность сюжета и несколько концовок добавляют реиграбельности, хочется попробовать разные пути развития событий и увидеть все возможные финалы. Единственным минусом может показаться небольшая продолжительность, однако это с лихвой компенсируется динамичным сюжетом и качественной проработкой мира. Рекомендую всем любителям визуальных новелл и квестов с интересным сюжетом и харизматичными персонажами.

É um jogo multiplataforma, com o visual muito parecido com os do pokemon, no começo apanhei um pouco, mas depois que você pega o jeito vai embora, achei bem divertido, com animações legais e melhor ainda está tudo em português, sendo perfeito para pessoas que não entende inglês ou crianças.
