This game is a trash fire, but I enjoyed my time with it (at least the first 75%). I can honestly only recommend this if you like those kind of games like me, or if you like the 3D models enough to push through. Join not-Cloud and not-Zack as you team up with a bunch of girls to reseal an ancient god the evil empire wants to use for evil! Also you meet not-Game of Thrones man. All the guys are much worse than the girls, to not much surprise. Also if you can't read Japanese, you will get very lost as there's lots of talking, so I wouldn't recommend it in that case. Bad: - The game lags if you look at too many halberds. I'm on a high-end computer that can run VR and this game lags badly when looking at certain things. Menu's get really unresponsive too (to counter this, stare at the ground or avoid looking at the halberds!) - The encounter rate is *way* too high. I got lost in the 封印の地 at the end and gained so many levels before I realized running away was a 100% success rate. (btw the solution is Green -> Red -> Yellow -> Blue, first time the gate didn't activate for me so I wrote it off, then had to dig for what little info there was online). It's really a drag trying to explore a dungeon or heading for a chest when you get into 3 fights just crossing a hallway. - The combat doesn't really ever get that deep or difficult. Even the last boss I just had two people blast light magic while one healed and the last one threw mana potions all around. Was only around level 31. - All the 3D models are pretty crude with few animations. Many of the buildings and objects have improper UV texture wrapping. - The plot tried to set up a lot of stuff, but didn't feel like it really went anywhere. Gotta visit the shrines of the 4 cardinal direction beasts, then fight a bunch of Norse gods. Good: - The ability to move in both 2D and 3D is a nice touch! It's fun being able to gaze around the dungeons and world maps as you walk through. - The enemy designs are kinda charming with how goofy they are honestly. - Music's nice. - There's several routes and endings if you end up wanting to go through that again. There's an included text file with the game with route hints. - The different routes mean different chars can randomly die, which was a neat touch. Sad finding weapons for them after they perished. - I liked the ice level and wandering into a pile of bone dragons at way too early of a level! Still survived and got to the teleporter, but was sad to see I couldn't do anything at that point in the game haha Overall, I did enjoy playing this, though I wished it ended like 10 hours earlier honestly. I can't imagine myself going back for the other endings.
