First of all, let it be known that I'm playing this with the uncensored patch. I recommend getting it for the full experience and oh wow what an experience it is.
Taima Miko Yuugi is a game made with RPG Maker and is of the eroge genre. Eroge is a genre where there's full blown nudity and sexual content, it's definitely not for people who insist staying on their high horses so sissies please tread lightly. Only play this if you don't mind seeing a teenager get porked (i'm using pork now to replace 'fu#k' because i hate it when steam heartifies it) so much that it's entirely possible that she now lives of come (c#m but it got heartified) instead of food or water.
Let's first talk about the fart that will make you want to hide your face under your pillows just to escape the horrible stench.
Translations:
This game still suffers from the problem most eroges in steam does. Bad translations. From wrong spellings, to bad grammar then to individual words typed together without spacing! All these are telltales of machine level translations. One portion was not even translated, the person tasked with the translations couldn't be any lazier if he was in a coma! I wish people would stop being so cheap when it comes to translations, in a story based game it's as important as the ham in a hamburger; without it what you have is a vegan burger not even your dog will appreciate.
Okay now that we're done with the single bad part of this game, let me tell you why this game is porking awesome and why you should totally buy it!
Translations:
Okay, okay, I know I said the translations were bad BUT compared to the other eroges here on steam like Dark Elf, Les Fleur Sword and King Exit; this game's translations actually work just fine! Despite the wrong spellings and the bad grammar, it's not hard to understand what they're saying! I could even laugh at the humor this game had because I could properly understand it unlike in the three other games mentioned! And unlike the other games mentioned this game has...
Stability:
This game never crashed on me. On other eroges, because of bad translations you will get different kinds of errors. Because of those errors I was prompted to save every few steps in fear that my game will decide to die on me after that one unbeatable boss! I was like a banker walking in the hood, constantly looking over my shoulders to make sure I still have my hymen intact when I reach home. Taima Miko Yuugi never had this problem, it continued smoothly without a single error in my playthrough! Because of this I was immersed with the story watching every skit without fear of getting kicked out the game because of a mistranslated character!
Artwork and Graphic:
This game, is gorgeous for RPG Maker standards. In a game like Dark Elf, you're always portrayed by a midget in the overworld. An ugly pixel with short stubs for legs that walks like a leprechaun until you encounter someone where you somehow magically grow into a proper human to do battle! In this game you're properly drawn as a human with accurate proportions in the overworld and in a game that sells nudity and sexual content little details like these matter! The artwork is just breath taking! When the monsters in game decide to grace your ninja face, breasts, ass or pucci with their holy juice the CGs are masterpieces to behold! Your character, Setsuna, is a natural beauty (not like those mutants with bloated breasts) and watching her get into tight situations is a good material for men to give their right hand some good ol' exercise! If you're like me, a girl into yuri, then prepare to lock your doors, sit on your best chair and prepare your fingers, strictly in that order, because this game also has some girl on girl action!
Gameplay:
This game is a dungeon crawler. The battle system in this game is the best I've played in an eroge sold here on steam so far! Unlike in other games where you just choose between attacking or using a skill, this game forces you to make a decision between defending from attacks. or attacking your foe and risk getting porked, literally! It's so easy to get graped (i'm using this now to substitue for r@pe) in this game because all the foes are a challenge to fight against! You can decide to escape these monsters but the only way to get strong enough to beat bosses and advance the story is to level up and get stronger! When you level up you get skill points and you decide what section to allocate it. Do you put it on a section that will give you survivability ? Or will you put it on a section that gives you more powerful skills to beat your foes with. The skill points while not limited are not that easy to come by so you need to properly allocate it to where you really want it!
Let me tell you about an experience I had in the game and its battle system.
I checked my level I was near leveling up where after I will get 3 skill points! Exactly the amount I need to learn a powerful skill that looks like, and operates like Kenshin's "Kuzuryusen (Nine Headed Dragon Flash)" from Rurouni Kenshin. So, naturally I wanted to kill just one more enemy to get those skill points! I saw a snake, a monster i've beaten a lot already, I checked my inventory and saw that I didn't have anymore potions or mana potions but I've beaten this monster so many times already I won't have any problem killing it... I thought.
So, I approached the slimy snake and attacked it from behind. Unfortunately, it somehow juked me and somehow I was the one who got taken from behind! I said, "no matter even if he has first turn this is still going to be EZPZ". Upon getting to the battle window, the snake then flew to my face, coiled around my body and bit my breasts then sucked all my remaining mana out. In this game, without mana you can't move, before I knew it I was being made into a lewd fountain by a snek that has somehow learned that a girl's 'downthere' is a good source of infinite honey as long as you're good with your tongue, and bo was he good with his tongue. When the game finally decided I've been porked enough, it sent me back to the beginning of the floor, naked, bruised and still covered in what seems to be transparent sticky fluids. The enemies in this game are no joke! They get stronger and tougher as you proceed and they do their utmost best to get into your pants... literally!
Story
Taima Miko Yuugi is the first eroge that made me tear up! You're Setsuna, a goofball ninja exorcist who lives with her adopted sister (she adopts you not the other way around). You learn very early on that your sister's parents were murdered by monsters and that's one of the reasons why she's so devoted on encouraging you on killing everything that doesn't resemble a human! You also learn that your sister, after losing her parents, became poor as pork so both she and you bully all the monsters you see and take their lunch money then search for treasure! You also learn later on that your sister gets off on seeing you get graped but anyway.... As someone who used to belong to a clan of exorcists you know that the monsters' numbers have dwindled almost to extinction. Because of this, it's strange that right now monsters graze through the lands as common as mice! You find out early on that someone is intentionally resurrecting the dead monsters of the old world and it's your duty to find that person and put an end to him... and then take his lunch money! While you proceed through killing hordes of monsters you are haunted by your past as details from your life as a ninja are revealed! Together with your sister, you rediscover yourself as you find out what it really means to be the "The hero ninja exorcist of justice!".
The plot for this game is nothing too special but for an eroge on steam, this is the most complex plot I've seen. I was impressed with how good it is for how cheap it is! 10/10 goty!
