Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

great remake
Its fun.
Yikes, I have a lot of feelings on this game. I'd recommend it if you've never played the originals, it's by far the most accessible entry point into the franchise. I do recommend using walkthroughs if you get stuck, because the old school nature of the game means you really have to think before making decisions. The controls feel great and the subtle changes they made to gameplay help introduce new players to the story and world. I think the original System Shock is one of the best video games ever made, incredible villain, incredible gameplay that matches what the story is trying to say, a 10/10 in every category for me. This game is a really hard one for me to score. I like about 90% of what they did, but
the final level and the SHODAN fight completely ruined it for me. The final area is meant to feel like you're inside SHODAN's cocoon, a fusion of biology and metal pulsing through the halls. The original's final boss battle was perfection precisely because of that logic. Instead, what we get here feels like modern game design being mashed into something that was always far more intellectual than that. The original made perfect sense ending in cyberspace. Having the player magically armed with weapons, shooting at platforms SHODAN herself would have had to construct for you, it makes no sense within her character or the world's internal logic. It just kills the immersion. The dialogue at that point is also painful, cringey and unnecessary. Instead of facing an intelligent god, I felt like I was fighting a dunce, which perhaps tracks if you've been destroying her nodes all game, but it still wasn't what I wanted from that moment. On top of all that, the game had a frustrating number of bugs throughout, enemies not taking damage, items disappearing, inventory wiping. These feel like they should be patchable, and the game has received a ton of patches, yet here we are.
Outside of those criticisms, this is a great game for newcomers to the franchise and it's nice to finally have an HD remake; although, its quite limited due to the size of the studio. That said, I'll personally be sticking to the originals. My bigger wish is that this had received the budget and direction of the Dead Space remakes, something next gen, without the pixel art style. That aesthetic was actually my initial reason for passing on this game, though I'm glad I came around, because the weapon designs, enemy designs and level design, for the most part, are genuinely spot on. I'd love to see a proper remake of the second game someday, and even another attempt at this one, but I imagine that's wishful thinking for now.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 15: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fun
The game is definitely fun and challenging but after uninstalling the game and reinstalling a time later, it erased my data and for some reason the cloud save did not work. I was at like level 7 or 8 so it really took the wind out of my sails.

The Good: I like the main villain Shodan. Pretty good. I liked the reworked graphics and the music. Some of the tracks were great. I liked the cyber space sequences to open doors. The puzzles were good too. The Bad: Pretty standard survival horror RPG fare. Enemies were good but some had technical issues. Nothing major but could have used a bit more polish on some. The Ugly: They reworked the graphics but did nothing about the game's mechanics and gameplay flow. I tried to play the game legitimatley and fairly, but that left me backtracking endlessly to the heal pod because they give not enough health. As the game progressed, they didn't give enough ammo or powerful weapons. I was left with no option but to salvage the game with cheats. There is a good game underneath the poor balancing. It is common. I had to use a walkthrough because the backtracking is absurd in order to progress. Trying to figure out how to proceed is next to impossible on your own once you've exhausted your exploration and any ideas you may have. The last boss fight would be absurdly difficult and grindy unless you just throw on infinite health ad get it over with. I enjoyed conquering the Insane AI. It was fun for the most part. There are a lot of issues but I'd still say it's worth a play and I'd give it a B
If you like immersive sims it don't get better than System Shock and Deus Ex. The game looks gorgeous and plays really well. I was endazzled by the colour palette of the environments. "Oldschool" oozes out of synthetic-alloyed walls of Citadel Station and nostalgia shines through compound glass of faceted viewports which look upon Saturn's orbit.
I think the people praising this game are the kinds of dopes who are always trying to be different. They'll pretend this outdated, clunky, boring maze runner throwback is some sort of harken to the golden days of gaming in the early 2000s. Stop it.
