About
System Breakdown is not just a twin-stick shooter. You need to be aggressive in order to survive. Cycle between guns to gain ammunition. Perform the finisher move to heal yourself. Use special power-ups to destroy Clankers' armor and charge your Fury.
If you like games, such as Ruiner or Kill Knight, you will feel at home.
Big Brother monitors everything. The better you perform in trials, the more resources you earn for advanced weaponry and power-ups.
Build your own style of destruction. Do you want to focus on pushing enemies onto a rocket explosion, or a Kimbo assault rifle Rambo Style? The choice is yours.
The Soviets won the Cold War, later created Big Brother to oversee this communist utopia. Everyone is equal, everyone is the same, everyone owns nothing, nobody can say anything.
You are the last remnant of human hope. Locked in the Big Brother laboratory, you need to find a way to destroy his reign once and for all.
*Project System Breakdown by Anarchy Creations is co-financed by European Funds for Smart Economy 2021-2027 under the KPT ScaleUP Booster program.

There’s a lot of shooting, explosions, and pure chaos, which makes the game really fun and intense. There are also plenty of different modifiers that keep things fresh and make every run feel a bit different. The game can be quite challenging at times, but that just makes winning even more satisfying. Definitely a great choice if you enjoy fast-paced and chaotic action.
I have been following this project closely through its demo versions and the past three playtests. While there has clearly been some progress over time, the game has unfortunately launched in an unacceptable technical state. Regardless of the graphical settings used, performance consistently plummets from high framerates down to 10–20 FPS, with any explosion - player or enemy caused - triggering severe lag spikes. For a full release, development progress feels like it has lagged behind, leaving too many fundamental technical issues untouched. The overall polish and control implementation leave much to be desired. Default keybindings—such as mapping primary fire to right-click and secondary to left-click—immediately give an unrefined first impression, even if they can be rebound. The movement controls are also awkward, as the WASD axes are diagonally tilted to align with the isometric perspective rather than standard directional inputs. Furthermore, collision across maps is severely inconsistent. Invisible barriers frequently block movement and lead to cheap deaths, while interactive objects like explosive barrels lack solid collision entirely, letting players phase right through them. Even the tutorial, which added fences to keep players from tumbling off the map into nonexistent killboxes, still features sections where the fences lack collision, causing the exact falling loop they were meant to prevent. Combat pacing is also disrupted by poorly integrated hazard phases. After engaging, fast-paced robot skirmishes, the game regularly grinds to a halt with stationary laser turrets or delayed bomb strikes. Instead of enhancing the fight, these interludes turn dynamic action into tedious waiting periods. The lasers are also mechanically unreliable, frequently clipping through geometry that appears to offer safe cover and dealing unavoidable damage. It is frustrating because the underlying gameplay loop has genuine potential, and this build could easily be the most enjoyable version yet if it functioned properly. However, major issues seem to be swapped for new ones rather than truly resolved, giving the impression that builds are not thoroughly playtested before release. I had high hopes for this title, but given its current state, I cannot recommend it. In many ways, the original prototype from the T3G 2022 finale felt like a more cohesive experience.

very cool game for action seekers! I love the bald representation.
Cheap Nifty Fast Paced game. Has come pretty far way from their patreon days.
Really interesting settings and gameplay. This game is worth recommending if you like twin-stick shooter,].
Good overall, always adored twin stick shooters no matter what it may be. Could use a difficulty boost, but other than that, I like it. Hoping for more in the future!
