An immersive journey through a universe of sounds and music. Relax and observe the environment react to your actions. Some changes will happen in front of you, some you will notice gradually. There are no immersion breaking elements. You will never be stuck, as the game is very intuitive. I really enjoyed looking at the tiny details or at the large structures. At the end you are presented with a glimpse of an interesting looking civilization, that I hope to learn more about in the next stories. The game is suitable to all: it is so comfortable that you will never be motion sicked, and yet worth trying even if you have experienced VR for some time.
A surreal and unique experience, albeit very very short right now. Looking forward to future updates and some deeper interactivity.
It's only a short preview of what's to come, but already very cool. The way that the music interacts with where you're looking is really neat. Cool minimalist visuals. It's a simple and powerful music experience.
What a cool experience, would have loved a longer one!
Wow, this is what indie development is all about! It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into it's development and that the dev has worked hard to create an experience that is absolutely unique. The flow of this first episode reminds me of an indie film or music video, gracefully extended with well-integrated and stylistically matched VR mechanics and VFX. I liked that the experience is packed with innovations and attention to detail. For example, the gaze-directed controls enter your perception seamlessly and feel very natural. It's also worth noting how the point of view helps draw attention to details, surround the viewer or, cleverly, provide an out-of-body view of a remote scene. These director choices are effective and selected perfectly for the mood of each scene. I'm looking forward to seeing where Synthesis Universe goes in EP 01.
Synthesis Universe Episode 00 is an evolutionary step forward for sci fiction story telling. It fully immerses you in an alien world of machine and music. It uses the medium of virtual reality to tell a story that could not be told accurately any other way. If the purpose of communication is to get a thought or idea from one mind to another in the most lossless way possible then Synthesis Universe succeeds by leveraging everything VR brings to that process, At the end you get a sneak peak of what is coming in later episodes and I can't wait. The author has clearly spent a lot of time world building and for me what I want most from VR is to be placed in another world. The creativity and cohesiveness of the visuals is impressive. Thank you for this and I look forward to the rest.
Awesome! Really hard to define what this is though. Kind of a music video, but not really. Maybe what future AI would create to stimulate the human subjects they keep around to study.
You know exactly what it is, and it is exactly what you were looking for. Then comes the realization that it was only the first part. Expect 30 - 40 minutes. Think that you are paying for an album and for something that no one else does.
A soundscape puzzle that unfolds before you, becoming more beautiful as you engage with it. This is not your typical VR game, rather a musical vision of an single indie Developer, introducing us to the first story of his retro-gaming inspired world. Unlike any other experience available for SteamVR, and a testament to the will of a single creator, I highly recommend this as an important addition to your VR library.
A super polished VR experience with fantastic visuals and music. It's more of an art experience than a game and on the shorter end of things but the overarching quality makes it worth checking out. Highly recommended for anyone who cares about polish, awesome tightly sync'd visuals & music, and/or develops VR. We need more polished, uniquely VR experiences like Synthesis out there
