About

Sometimes hailed as the greatest Swords and Sandals of all time, this is the one I've always wanted to remake - and now, almost twenty years since its original launch, that dream is realised in all its vivid, bone shattering detail.
The hardest, most metal gladiator game ever made has been re-forged from the ground up, with new graphics and the most rocking soundtrack and the most brutal deaths ever seen in a Swords and Sandals game.

Swords and Sandals III Redux Core Gameplay Features
Fast paced turn-based arena combat. Fight one-on-one or in teams of two, dodge spiked pits and traps on your way to victory
Switch between redux and classic graphics at any time, from gladiators to backgrounds to shopkeepers!
Limb severing and decapitations! Sever arms and legs and keep on fighting as your gladiator finds the strength to endure
Powerful blueprints and runes to give your weapons and armour the edge in combat
Create a gladiator your way. Customize everything from height and weight to facial features and hometown, the choice is yours.
24 classic Arena Champions to do battle with, including the infamous Yeti Project
Many classes to choose, skills and talents to learn. Rain molten death from the skies, play guitar solos that shake the ground!
Defeat your enemy anyway you can. Throw your weapons, even throw discarded healing potions. Whatever it takes to win!
Re-forged using the Swords and Sandals Immortals engine. This means cooler special FX, beefier particles, more fluid animations and more epic music than ever.
Sharpen your sword, sturdy your sandals. The Gladiae Ultratus awaits!

Finally, by popular demand, you can now play as a powerful Automaton construct. These towering robotic overlords are absolute tanks and level up in a different way to regular gladiators. They are probably a little overpowered, but hey - this is Swords and Sandals, what's a little ridiculous balancing here and there?

TL;DR: Swords and Sandals 3 Redux offers what a S&S game offers, which is a ton of grinding, merciless battles, old-school roleplaying options, and a fair bit of nostalgia. The Swords & Sandals series, for me, is a really special one, as I grew up with it during the Flash days. Back then, I couldn't even beat the golden armored pig boss in S&S II, and here I enjoyed S&S once again in its Redux form. The S&S franchise is really old, and it has a style that includes a lot of outdated design choices; as a result, it may give first-time players an unexpected experience. It is full of RNG, grinding, and old-school roleplaying options, which may or may not appeal to you. I finished the game and collected all the achievements in about 23 hours. If you are an achievement hunter, get ready to have the fights over and over again, as well as grinding for hours. I did it with a decapitating RNG build, and it worked just fine. In the end, there is really not much to say about this title. If you are familiar with the franchise and want to enjoy it in a more modern form for nostalgia's sake, go for it. However, you should be ready for the merciless nature of the game as well as a ton of grinding.

RAAARGH!
Playing this game caused me to finally have sex with my gf and she no longer strictly cucks me. Thank you S&S
Honestly, I thought that when I bought this game I’d feel 15 years younger, but it turned out to be a surprise just a bad one… The gameplay itself is fine, the character progression is fine… but the bosses? That’s where there’s no balance. No matter how hard you try, what builds you use, or what techniques you rely on, you end up having to fight a single boss like 30–40 times just for RNG to finally go your way. I’m disappointed. The game isn’t worth its price. It’s better to wait for a sale then it might actually be worth taking a closer look at.
Impossible to beat. everyone heals what little damage you do and you cant do a lot if any damage. 1/10, ♥♥♥♥ game
Can't really say I'd recommend it. It didn't really add much of value and failed to launch on me when I went back to play it a third time. The original had some charm because it didn't ask for any money from you but this one feels like its just trying to make a dollar off of your nostalgia.
I played the og and all the other games as a kid and was so bummed when flash was done for, I bought the buddle with the og games and was so happy to play, then I found out redux is out??? instant cop, I will never stop playing this masterpiece. its everything I loved just better, thank you.
As a long-term SS3 fan, I really wanted to enjoy this game. Unfortunately, this remaster stripped away much of the originality and charm that made the original enjoyable and unique. I understand that due to the new engine, there are some limitations. To me, this simply feels like a completely new game or a second SS Immortals game. Some may like it, some may not. I would say its a personal preference.
That damn yeti shall no longer walk this realm as long as I live..
