About
Step into a world where fears become reality — and you are not just a witness, but a participant in the nightmare.
Suspense: Madman's Dream is a narrative-driven psychological horror inspired by real manifestations of mental disorders. Here, imagination and delusion are not fantasies — they are ways of existing.
Take on the roles of observer, creator, and madman — all at once. Explore a hospital, a magical forest, and a 1950s English house through the eyes of those whose minds are on the brink. Feel their world collapse: walls distort, memories blur, and shadows come to life.
Each environment is a reflection of the character’s inner world. Everything you see is rooted in reality — but filtered through a fractured, distorted mind. Piece together fragments of the story, examine the details, and find meaning in the chaos to understand what truly happened.
And maybe — just maybe — you'll answer the question:
Can anyone truly help a mind that's falling apart?
Gameplay time: 1–2 hours.
Voice-Controlled Gameplay:
Use your voice to interact with the world, uncover hidden elements, and solve unconventional puzzles.

Deep Psychological Narrative:
Multiple character stories — shaped by mental disorders and distorted perceptions of reality — intertwine into one dark and unsettling journey.

Challenging Puzzles and Disturbing Environments:
Each location is filled with meaning, symbolism, and detail that can either guide you toward the truth… or pull you deeper into confusion.
Shifting Spaces and Surreal Horror:
The world constantly transforms: scenes take on a psychedelic quality, and while nothing is truly real — the pain it causes the characters is.
A Scientific and Artistic Exploration of Psychosis:
The game presents an interpretation of schizophrenia based on real symptoms and lived experiences — without clichés or supernatural tropes.

Hi everyone. I'm already flattered if you're reading this. My name is Oscar. I'm a former doctor, and I've had the experience of working with people suffering from psychiatric disorders in a mental hospital, including in the forensic psychiatry department, where individuals who committed terrible acts due to their illnesses are treated.
I want you to understand how difficult this is. With mental disorders, people often don't even realize the severity of their condition. Some of the stories of the mentally ill amazed me deeply. Some of them have drifted so far from reality that their stories resembled science fiction movies or games.
Some elements may seem illogical from a gaming perspective, but believe me, they are logical if you refer to psychiatric textbooks.
Enjoy the game!

Well, all I can say is that it was an unusual experience / mixed emotions / I literally fell into an emotional trap / but sometimes I'd be on edge. however, I appreciate the developer's prompts. I like that he didn't leave me “on my own” with these puzzles. some of them were challenging, but I got hints after not solving them right away.
it looks like a high quality movie, really. it's a horror movie. you'll have a lot to explore and even more to be, uh. to be scared. + unique locations and high level design of the surrounding world; + sudden anomalies and scrimmers; and a lot of notes.... I'm tired of reading :D 8\10 read notes
If you want to feel like a schizophrenic and abnormal, then you need to buy this game. The wonderful atmosphere and graphics will immerse you in this state. Unfortunately, there are a lot of bugs in the game, but I read the reviews and realized that the author of the game is constantly under development. He responds to reviews and fixes bugs in the game, judging by the fact that many of them were not discovered by me in the game.
EDIT - The game has been updated. I've been replaying it. Will offer my thoughts after I finish it. Again... EDIT - I finished the game again. Much improvement over the initial release. Noticeable difference. Honestly. The story is good. Impactful. It's worth checking out. Leaving my original review though. This game was like swallowing a horse pill and washing it down with broken glass. I applaud the developers efforts in making this. Yet I had so many problems during my play-through that were non existent in the demo. I have no idea what went wrong. Every time I went to play it today something else would happen. Objects floating in the air. Then I would leave the room, come back and they were gone. (Happened with the statue puzzle in the beginning and it was one of the statues. ) The mouse icon and dismiss overlay were stuck on my screen all the way up to the first save where that crow was. I didn't use the voice mechanic. Pressing G only worked once and that was first time. Second time in an area it wouldn't even register. So I then opted to try voice and the microphone/headset it was trying to connect to wasn't even on. So I did a refresh and it still would not work or show the correct one. To top this off. I had to reload certain parts of the game or start completely over because of issues I had with the game locking up in the beginning. Overall. I'd say buy at your own risk. Maybe you won't have the problems I did. Hell. Maybe it was part of the game? LOL... Graphically it was good. It ran good. A lot of potential here. 5/10
