Surviving the Apocalypse Is More Fun When There’s Sex

Has to be the most unique Adult VN I have played, would highly recommend.

I think apocalypses (especially zombie ones) are probably one of the least romantic locations to have a story take place (unless you're into the more extreme), but fortunately/unfortunately, this one isn't much of an apocalypse.  If you've ever read a young adult fiction novel, such as the dystopian ones that were popular during the early 2010s, then expect to see all the same tropes from those in this game, except in this case, the author doesn't have to avoid anything. It's not as bad as some of those, where they can make you want to pull your hair out, but it's still pretty generic. I can see how the current writing style choice can serve as an easy way to get to some fun scenes, but for now, it's too early to tell if it can be creative enough to deliver. As for the basics, there are no real standouts. The dialogue is very flat, and pretty much serves just to get to the next scene. The action is also set up confusingly, having nonexistent pacing or tension, so none of them are all that amazing. The very small cast is just fine, pretty much just a copy from other existing media. I wouldn't say the visuals are anything special, in fact, sometimes certain shots are pretty unappealing. I thought the choices were at first meaningless (apart from gaining points), but even though there can be some changes to the story later on in the game, it is overall just flavourful, not having much of an impact. And as for the most important thing, the adult scenes, there are enough of them (as spoiled in the front page proportional images), and the quality is good enough for me to be excited for the full release if done properly. A big issue prevalent in the game is the lack of world-building or more specifically the lack of immersion before the main story beats begin. Most good games in the apocalypse genre will make sure to set the stakes well, where in this case the world is a bit too casual, to the point where you could swap out the current genre with another one and it wouldn't affect the story. I could have used (and still can) more of a "settling down" phase, where I learn and gain more context regarding the current "climate" before I meet main love interests like Emily. If not that, then originality is something this game desperately needs, be it the factions, the enemies or the apocalypse itself.  I can put up with the boring dialogue and progression if there are some fun set pieces to look forward to. Come up with something of your own, and expand upon it during key events. But more importantly, even if there are good set pieces, it won't be able to save this game, unless the harem is greatly expanded upon because I'm not feeling it with Emily. Overall, I hope we can meet a much greater array of hot characters we can bang, get some more recurring female characters, and have more major choices with Emily regarding our shared future.

It takes a while to warm up, but the story is interesting and arousing; split across several events or narrative arcs thus far. The AVN has been receiving steady updates; and has grown into sufficient content for the price. [i]Edit:[/i] The story is becoming pretty disjoint though. Each update veers the story in a new direction. Whether that is refreshing or irritating depends on your preferences.

Honestly better than I expected. The only thing is that it really starts getting good at the end and then its over. I really wish it had carried on in the direction it was going a bit more, but I still recommend it for sure.
