still the best VR game i've played
If you enjoy awesome aesthetic and spatial reasoning games like tetris, then you should definitely buy this! I'm honestly addicted to trying to beat the highscores.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU DO PSYCHEDELICS! <3 <3 <3
Just a warning, this game does NOT properly support Index or Oculus, like it might make you think. I don't entirely know what it's like on Index, but users can let you know. As a Quest 2 user, I can say it's weird and inconvenient, but you can make it work. It's unclear what it wants, but you basically move the analog sticks in the direction of the buttons, then press the stick to activate the button input. It's also a little pricey, and almost never on sale. Now onto the good stuff. It has great visual design, it's simple, but has depth and high replay value.
I played this game on PSVR at IndieCade East years ago when VR was just coming out. This game blew me away with how well the game feel is polished and immersive. To this day it's still my favorite VR game as it doesn't rely on being gimmicky to have an awesome experience. I now own it on PC and play it with a PS4 controller and my Rift. I absolutely recommend playing SUPERHYPERCUBE! You don't want to miss out on this one.
Amazing arcade style, rotate the block to fit in the hole puzzle game - as always in VR the simplest concept when done with pinache' wins the day :D Hugely addictive with that "Just one more go" and "Nah that one didn't count, one more" style gameplay. Put in an hour and a half today with a friend and only at 13th on the Global Leaderboard so far - Must Play More!
SUPERHYPERCUBE is an awesome VR puzzle game with a simple concept. A clump of cubes must be rotated so that it will fit through a 2D cutout wall that approaches. More cubes are randomly added to your clump making your shape ever more complex. The true challenge comes from finding the correct orientation in time time pressure before the wall reaches your clump. The 3D VR view perspective is taken advantage of since it requires you to lean over and view the sides of your clump and also see the cutout that is often obscured behind. This simple game is enhanced by masterful visuals that evolve as you progress through the levels, and with matching audio cues. This might not be a game you play for long sessions unless you really get sucked into the challenge, but it can still be a lot of fun anyways!
VR at its finest. Knows the format, knows the limitation. Endlessly fun and challenging. Delightful to look at. 70s future.
this game is special
This is fun, but there isn't much to it. You can stand and use motion controllers. It would be cooler if you could rotate the cube by moving your hands instead of your fingers on the trackpad and triggers. I got 10th in the world tonight. I expect that to be 100th or worse next time I play.
