Super Technos World: River City & Technos Arcade Classics

Because you can't give games a mixed/neutral review, I have to lean towards no on this one unless you are a huge fan of the River City franchise (which started with the NES game "River City Ransom" and Taito's 80s arcade game "Renegade" in the US). There are some decent arcade games here but a number of good ones and major Technos hits are missing, namely the "Double Dragon" trilogy which is probably due to licensing (they gave some of it to Taito), as well as the original arcade "Super Dodge Ball" from the 80s. And no River City Ransom? Most of the console games are also Japanese-only too. I love compilations like this and the number of games is great for the price, but this one is a very niche collection and seems geared more towards Japanese games and not American players. If you want to check it out, wait for a good sale (when it may eventually go 50-75% off).

初代熱血硬派くにおくんで、梅田駅に入場券で入りホームを降りてイベント戦闘後（倒したなかざきの台詞の後）に 処理落ちが発生し、その後ずっと処理落ちし続ける現象が起こりました。 リセットしてタイトルに戻っても処理落ちしたまま、ニューゲームではじめても処理落ちしたまま。 自分のパソコンのスペックの問題かなとも思いましたが プロジェクトEGG版のくにおくんでは起きないバグで、このコレクション特有のものみたいです。 改めてゲームを最初からやっても同じ箇所で永続的な処理落ちが発生しました。 色々貴重なゲームが入ってるコレクションなので買って後悔はないですが 人に薦められるかと言われると難しいです。

思い出補正で買うには価格が少し高すぎる。アーケード版のドッヂボールとPCエンジン版のドッヂボールが入って無かったのが残念。ラインナップも微妙だし楽しむ目的よりコレクターズアイテムかなぁ、、、。

This is an interesting collection we got here. The games themselves are okay but there are one problem holding it back for me: There are two games in the collection are left untranslated (Sugoro Quest, and Dunquest) only play them if you can understand the games in their native language. I mean I have done some digging and I have found ROM translations of the games but they still couldn't translate those themselves? Missed opportunity there is all i can say. Also I am aware Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer and Double Dragon (Neogeo) could've been added too, but those were licensed games, either based an anime or movie so getting the rights to those would've been a tad too expensive and would've been nigh-impossible without permission. One more thing I used to think that the awkwardly handled control inputs can easily be swapped around in the compliation's built-in menu UI and the control customization to make the start button actually work in a game and not be one of shoulder trigger buttons. With this one change I believe this is enough to change this into a positive review. That being said, is this collection of 7 SFC games and 5 arcade games worth buying? Maybe, but I'd wait for a sale first. Unless you're one of those people who really like older games enough to care that is.

I have to say the arcade games are fun but some of the console version games are broken in this collection. I hope i get refunded soon because this was my worst investment.

Quelle purge ! Les jeux sont horriblement déséquilibrés dans leur difficulté et le gameplay est bancal. Par exemple, dans les Combatribes, on se fait pourrir en boucle par des boss qui spamment leurs attaques sans que l'on ne puisse rien faire. Certains jeux sont exclusivement en japonais et ce n'est précisé nulle par sur la page magasin. Une vraie arnaque !!!
