It's a side-scrolling shmup mixed with some puzzle bulls**t and obviously bullet hell. Kinda weird mix, the levels... felt kinda autistic at first. Like, what the f**k am I supposed to be doing? But once you get your head out of your a*s and figure out the gimmick, it's pretty straightforward. Kinda makes you feel r*t*rded for not getting it immediately lol The bosses are pure f**king bullet hell. Actually decent challenges, not just some pushover crap. They test your reflexes, which is what you want from this kind of game. If you've got even half a brain for shmvps, you'll finish this in one sitting, maybe two if you're a soyboy casual, not much replayability once you've seen it all. The pixel art is alright. Nothing that's gonna make you drop your jaw, but it's clean enough, doesn't look like some Unity asset flip from a zoomer dev FINAL VERDICT ➜ FULL PRICE? LMAO NO. Are you high? ➜ ON A DEEP DISCOUNT? Yeah, sure, why the ♥♥♥♥ not. It'll kill an afternoon. You'll get some cheap thrills from the bosses, the pixel art won't offend your eyes, and you won't feel completely scammed. Just don't expect it to change your life Overall, it's... fine. Not great, not terrible. Just a thing that exists. If you're bored and it's dirt cheap, give it a shot. Otherwise, whatever.
A cool little budget mini shooter with some puzzle elements. There is a logical progression that's simple but fun to figure out, as you are progressing through each stage while collecting crystals and powerups to buy and upgrade ships. The only distinguishing factor between this and a bajillion other games is the "puzzle" element. Basically, when you shoot an alien the outside aliens freeze and basically become immovable blocks you must navigate around. Obviously, you want to target bigger block clusters because this will create more clear open spaces. It gets harder as you progress because the game introduces other obstacles like mines, spikes, flying enemies, etc. The boss fights are drastically different, as these are more skill-based with fast moving projectiles. Your weapon even auto shoots bullets whereas previously you had to calculate single shots to make sure you don't get trapped. There are only six stages. The collectibles took me about fifteen minutes and then there is a "Boss rush" mode that's a joke and can be completed in a couple minutes if you know what to do. I went ahead and did bosh rush mode on "hard" just for the heck of it and the only difference the projectiles move faster, but they go down so easy it doesn't even matter. This game has beautiful graphics and would be a gem if it was a little longer and more in-depth, but even for a forgettable one-time experience it's fine.
Fun little puzzle shmup, to pass time with in short burst. Nice little Steam Deck experience. Not much else to say beyond that. I got it for $1. So its fun for what it is.
beat the game and 100% it in just under 2 hours. this was a lovely game. simple and fun. 10/10
"hmm, it seems those crystalized aliens can't be destroyed" "hmm, it seems those crystalized aliens can't be destroyed" "hmm, it seems those crystalized aliens can't be destroyed" "hmm, it seems those crystalized aliens can't be destroyed" "hmm, it seems those crystalized aliens can't be destroyed" no but actually this game isn't great. it has a problem similar to something like super chicken jumper, where, to increase replayability(and to make devving easier) the enemy placements are randomly generated per run of the level. which a lot of the time creates no-win situations where you can only die. so that means that you are going to die alot, and to add salt to the wound there's some jackass reading the most annoying and patronizing lines ever. take for example the line at the start: "hmm, it seems those crystalized aliens can't be destroyed", it plays when you shoot a crystalized alien. now, thankfully it only plays one time(per time you play the level) but because of how much you die, and how quick each level is, after about an hour you're gonna start to lose it after hearing the same lines 1000 times. not all bad though. shooting is pretty satisfying, gameplay(ON PAPER) is pretty fun, +the music and graphics are alright
i had a nice time.
Great genre mashup with standout artwork. ♥♥♥♥'s adorable.
