Pretty fun little game - admittedly it is kind of hard to figure out at the start, but I knew it was a 'puzzle' game when I started. I'm surprised how it has sucked me in though and before I knew it I've spent a few hours on the game. It gets easier as you go along to figure things out. I like the simple aesthetics that take me back to early video games, and I like trying to figure thing out, so this was a fun game for me. However, if you are person who gets frustrated easy, it may take a minute to figure things out so I'd advise patience. Not because the game isn't functioning, but you just have to test and try things out. It's also been a while since I've played a game guided by keys, WASD to guide yourself along with mouse play. If you want a jump start, read on, if you don't - I'd stop here because I'm going to give a couple of tips that took me a minute to figure out, but once I did, it got a lot easier. Here we go: Navigating the ship is kind of a challenge if you don't get it. On the map you need to 'triangulate' which apparently means to make all the lines not cross, then you get a map of the solar system you are in, and where you are in relation to other planets and the sun. Then go and navigate. The sun casts light onto the ship to help you orient better. This part of the game is a little frustrating as you have to retriangulate. The other thing I didn't get immediately is pressing ESC to see the menu and the recipes, which give you direction on what material to get from the planets to build things that will help you like extra oxygen, and a backpack so you can carry more ore. Dragging individual ore got tiresome and so the backpack helps a ton. It also took me a minute to figure out that some machines can be built or operate only on a planet, including steel plates to place machines on. So if you get stuck take the machines to a planet and get them working. Fun game, for me - I liked the music which gave it kind of both a playful feel and also kind of an eerie presence too. I am not a fan of games that explain everything or give a huge backstory and so for me that was fun.
This game had no play-testing. *Game sets itself to fullscreen randomly *Objectives are unclear *Control prompts are misleading *"Inventory" system is unfun *Unclear what I should be crafting, and why *The map is zoomed in way to far, making it very difficult to locate stuff This game is a pee pee load of crap, would rather do my homework.
