Super Motherload

Awesome game, I loved playing the original as a kid on Miniclip, and this sequel adds some interesting changes to some of the game functions and a little more lore depth. The graphics are much improved as well. They also have the original available in the same download in case you want to play that. SPOILER BELOW HERE: I do wish they had done more in terms of the actual depth to the game though, because it has potential to have a much longer gameplay loop, such as them having possibly included involving more planets/moons (maybe some minerals can only be found on certain worlds or something), more alien civs, and an overall more in depth story than what you get in the actual game. As is though, I do recommend the game still as is, it is still a fun playthrough even though it is a very simple game.

Fun game with a cool style. Brings back memories from my teen years! One major problem. Regular freeze/crash on final boss. It's a long sequence and completely ruins the experience.

It's fun! Motherload Goldium is great, as it always was. There's a bug that freezes the game when using C4 sometimes.

Are you looking for a simple, semi-cozy game to play on your handheld before bed? Or maybe you grew up in the age of playing flashgames online? If so, then this is certainly worth checking out. With this game, you also get a copy of the original Motherload, which is just absolutely amazing on the developer's part to do. As you play, you get fed tidbits of story, making for a surprisingly mysterious atmosphere (or lack thereof being on Mars). You will drill your way through the surface layers of the martian soil going ever deeper into the planet. What awaits you as you travel miles down towards the core? You'll have to play to find out! Lately, this has been my go-to game in the evenings when I'm ready to just sit down on the couch and relax. This has run great on GPD handhelds running CachyOS (Linux) and I don't think I've experienced anything weird or issues with either Super Motherload or the classic Motherload. If you're still not sure if you want this game, I'd highly recommend at least wishlisting it and getting it when it goes on sale. It's not perfect, but it's definitely underrated as a good, simple, casual game.

Good old game. Just as addictive as I remember it being. Runs flawlessly.

Great cruisy time killer. Played the original when i was in high school on mini clip back in the day. they are fantastic.
