Has a great flash game energy.
This is an extremely charming game that doesn't really need an explanation for it's wackiness. There is a beginning, a middle, and an end, as well as plenty of upgrade opportunities for your ship along the way. The planet and fish varieties highly outnumber the amount of aliens you'll be fighting, but they still pose a decent enough threat. The lower numbered trading planets are where you can buy cheap upgrades for your ship, and the higher numbered trading planets can get you special upgrades. The planets further out have higher tier difficulty and fish rank. The cursor can disappear if you fiddle outside of the game and come back, but just hit escape and go back to the main menu. Also the sound effect for leaving a planet can play twice if you hit the button right after collecting a fish. The claim that this game has 2+ hours of gameplay is false, but it's still great!
I'm going to finish playing this in the morning, but I really wanted to leave a review asap. This game has so much personality. Is it a fishing game? Is it a shmup? I have no idea. But it's great
I love this game it's fun and awesome. I caught a funny fish. also for the price this game has a lot to offer.
It is awesome! Love the mix of fishing and shmup. Shame more people haven't reviewed it.
TLDR at the end of the review. This game is great! It has some great humour and a great graphic style that fits the game perfectly! The music is pretty good and you can switch the music at any time with an in-game radio. Gameplay: At first I didn't really like the combination between a chill fishing game and a bullet hell, but I started to enjoy it once I got my first special ability. It can sometimes be a little bit tedious to travel to a shop planet to sell your fish, but you get used to it pretty quickly. Once you unlock all your abilities the bullet hell becomes irrelevant and it becomes more like a chill exploration game. I recieved this game for free, but I would be 100% willing to pay this game on it's full price. Since the prices are now localized I decided to gift to a few friends! The only thing that I don't like about this game is that it doesn't have any achievements :( Oh, and I would be cool to have an options menu to control the screen size. Some tips: -Iif you want to play on "easy mode": go to a far away planet at the start and fish a lot of the "stardust" fish. Then go to turgle 6 or 7 and sell all your fish. You will be able to buy some pretty good upgrades at the start and it will make travelling between planets way easier -Learn to use your special abilities! (Unlocked in stores) TLDR: Music and sound: Good Gameplay: Good Price: It's a bargain! 100% playtime: 1:30hs to 2:30hs
Big fan of the approach to the fish designs. Generally fishing games just use real life species, which is fine an all but it all gets a bit dull when you know there's gonna be the same set of fish in every bloody game. NOT WITH THIS GAME. WHO KNOWS WHAT'LL SHOW UP??? Yes, as the price tag might suggest, it is a simple game, but for £2?? GO ON.
I wished there would have been a few more talking characters but I had a great time. It's not the most engaging fishing mechanic but the gameplay loop is so tight that it's impossible to put it down. Great art and personality, great tunes too
