Super Farming Boy

This game is an absolute blast. Honestly, I can’t believe it hasn’t blown up. It’s a great mix of Stardew Valley with a puzzle twist, and an amazing art direction. My only complaint is that updates are very few and far between; at this point it’s getting one update a year. It has some annoying bugs that never got fixed and the game is still incomplete so it may take many years to get a complete version of this game.

Wait, you have said that? Well then, Super Farming Boy is definitely the game for you! I'll openly admit that I had no idea what to think about this game going into it. I could see that it was going to be a unique take on the farming game genre that has now embedded itself forever in gaming culture, but I had no idea just how unique it would be. I can honestly tell you now that Super Farming Boy is one of the most unusual farming games I have ever played -- and that's definitely not a bad thing. The farming genre has admittedly grown a bit stale, with hundreds of Stardew Valley imitators popping up on Steam constantly. Super Farming Boy is NOT a Stardew Valley imitator by any stretch. Instead, it's one of the few games I've played recently that actually goes its own way and defies the expectations that modern day gamers might want to place on it. Honestly, I can't really think of any currently existing labels that actually fully fit this game. Even Steam seems to be having trouble defining Super Farming Boy -- the labels currently showing on its page are "farming sim," "arcade," and "match three." If I hadn't already played the game I would, frankly, be confused by those labels, and rightly so. Probably the most similar game I can think of would be Plants Vs. Zombies, but even that's a bit of a stretch. Basically all I can say is that you should play Super Farming Boy if the idea of crop-based-combat interests you. Story: There isn't a lot of story to Super Farming Boy, but the story that does exist is harrowing. The game opens abruptly with so much action on the screen you might get overwhelmed and quit before you even start (genuinely: if you are neurodivergent and get easily overstimulated by lots of bright, moving colors, activity, and sounds, be aware that those are the things that most define the aesthetics of Super Farming Boy). Shortly after you are dropped (or... spat out by your living, gelatinous home) into this world, an absolutely terrifying menace that personifies the evils of capitalism shows up, takes everything you own, and kidnaps all of your friends (including your mom!?). His name is "KORPO™®©" and he makes Tom Nook look like the nicest guy you've ever met. From here on, the story consists of working for the man and trying to buy your friends back from him. TLDR: Overall, I recommend this game to anyone who loves farming games but has become bored with the banality of recent farming game offerings. It's also a perfect game for those who love unusual indies, interesting combat styles, or Cuphead-style cartoon art. If you are looking for cozy games, however, I would warn that while Super Farming Boy could be described as cozy in a roundabout way, its bright colors and frantic time schedule could be off-putting to someone who is trying to wind down and relax. I'm amazed that this game is Early Access with all that you can do with it! Artstyle - Awesome! Looks like hose animation/comic book Music/SoundEffects - Perfect they fit the aesthetic Story - Funny! Chaotic goodness Characters - Charming ~ Gameplay - EASY!! To learn and to play Tutorial - Not super hand holdy and still informative (I'm not left questioning what I need to do) I LOVE the chaotic mix of farming sim meets super powers meets having to craft mega combos for really cool rewards! So far I've only completed Spring but I'm completely invested in the game. I and my community want to see the rest of the seasons and what else the game has to offer. Truly for the price and what you're given in return it is 1000000000% worth it!! Thank you Devs for reaching out to me, I was incredibly happy to check out and share this gem. <3

Definitely an addictive game! It's not just another farming game, SFB focuses mainly on strategy and optimizing combos, which is such an original game idea, personally. Once you get your head around it, you can get reeeeally creative while making different patterns for your seeds, in order to extend a combo as much as possible. Plus, FeverTime is and feels amazing! However, I would like plants that grow only once to have more uses other than mainly hit crop eaters... or for them to regrow a limited number of times for example, I don't know. Also, I´d love to be able to buy more seeds at the shop, if I have the money. The seed stock each day feels a little too limited. Having that said, and even though it's on early access, the game at this stage is fantastic. I absolutely love the music, and the art style is just sooo cute! I think y'all should give this game a try and see for yourselves. Can´t wait for new content on future updates.

まだ2年目の夏ですがコンボルートを考えるのは楽しいです ですがアーリーアクセスという事もあり作物の種類が少なく大体同じ形になります。 昼の時間が短いです やりたいことは沢山あるけど昼が短いせいで水やりじょうろ君の出番がすくなく水やりの大変さが目立ち、デットナイト（敵MOBが湧く夜）にずーーと活動することになるので気分的も下がります 他にも自分が読み飛ばしてしまったせいか道具の使い方やゲームの仕様でわからなかった部分があるので説明確認できる機能がほしいです。 また図鑑はあるものの登録されないバグがありどもまで実装されているかも不明です。 他の方のレビューにもある通りゲームバランスは崩壊ぎみなので今後のアップデートに期待です

How come this game is not a classic yet? Totally love how it perfectly blends the coziness of a traditional farming game like Stardew Valley with the fast paced arcade action puzzle style of games such as Bomberman, mixed with the depth of the Pokémon game series. Action, strategy, resource management, puzzle solving and a wacky lore and sense of humor... You should play it right now! Once you give it a few plays you won't be able to let it go!!!

Se você estiver buscando um jogo de fazendinha, onde fica fazendo combos infinitos igual esses joguinhos viciantes de celular, então esse jogo é mais ou menos para você, já que em 15 dias do jogo, o mapa troca de estação e você perde praticamente todas as plantações. O jogo até o momento estava com uma progressão até que interessante, havendo umas 5 estações que duram 15 dias do jogo (a noite tem tempo infinito, então da para passar várias horas em 1 dia do jogo, só não desmaiar), com essas estações resetando o tipo de planta que eu poderia comprar e ter nas minhas plantações. O problema desse jogo é estar incompleto, ele vai fazer 1 ano e ainda está incompleto, não havendo final, não conseguindo alcançar o objetivo principal do jogo (resgatar a mãe) e um monte de coisa, que simplesmente frusta o jogador. Eu completei 1 ano dentro do tempo do jogo (75 dias = passar pelas 5 estações) e percebi que isso ficaria infinitamente e se tiver alguma coisa nova no jogo, era só eu ficar avançando os dias sem parar, então eu perderia umas horas fazendo nada no jogo, para tentar ver se tinha algo. Decidi pesquisar e descobri, realmente está incompleto. Não consigo recomendar o jogo, mesmo com ele sendo bem barato, a menos que você goste de gastar seu tempo infinitamente em um joguinho só, sem ter nenhum tipo de recompensa (progresso, melhorias...). O jogo está em acesso antecipado, mas já faz 1 ano, não faz sentido ele estar nessa situação, por isso parece tão abandonado, pois aparentemente ele está mesmo.
