Stay far, far away from this and look up Return To Chaos v0.49 or CSBWin. Or emulate the old Amiga versions of Dungeon Master/Chaos Strikes Back as they're still worth playing. It may be free... but herpes is free too.
C'est nul. Super Nul. Le jeu Atari des années 80 avait des défauts. Ce jeu les amplifie, c'est vraiment horrifique. N'achetez pas ce jeu, surtout pas !

I'm very confused. I played the original Dungeon Master (on an Amiga) and LOVED it! The screenshots you use in the store appear to mostly match the original classic... but whats this 3rd person, with little "cartoon characters", view that completely spoils it?
Anyone who has played the original, will remember the how they spent hours hitting 144 to 1335 for their fireball lightning combos to spamming out masses of health potions, grinding out a level repeatedly to grind out food and leveling your fighters. Unfortunately that is not this game. top down view uninteresting and even more limited than the original... DEFINITELY NOT SUPER.. I'd even be more inclined to say basic as you can't multi-class your characters and weapons and armour are class specific. So you choose a wizard or a priest well no ninja stars for you. (Maybe there's a way to do so eventually, but I couldn't work it the 69 minutes I played it and I think by this stage all of my characters had a few fighter/ninja/priest and magic advancements in the original.) Basically if you loved the original and are hoping for nostalgia do not play this game. Download an emulator that you can run the original as this will just leave a bad taste in your mouth from the grounding of your teeth.
Terrible. Nothing like the third person original.
"Super Dungeon Master Ace RPG" is a garbage RPG Maker game with a twist, the developer went off and instead of making a high school anime club dropout fan-fiction Final Fantasy ripoff, he instead stole intellectual property from Dungeon Master (copyright FTL Games, 1987). As Tetris Holdings LLC vs Xio Interactive (New Jersey District Court) and other similar cases, stealing someone else's game for profit (there's a for-profit DLC attached to this non-free copyright infringement), it's legally actionable. You can't just steal other people's stuff. In some places in the world, copyright infringmeent like this is a breach of criminal law. What do you do in the game? It's Dungeon Master but even worse because it's made with the complete crap that is RPG Maker... somehow this comes across as even worse than an RPG Maker asset flip. It's wholesale copyright infringement... not okay. Like you can't just make it not copyright infringement by saying "Oh it's an unofficial fan project" when it's published on Steam and features for-profit monetisation. This game will be gone as soon as the first letter from legal arrives. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. This is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a $1 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to buy some extra DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
