Action-packed platformer with dungeon exploration, where you fight enemies and discover hidden areas. ✅Large game content: 26 levels ✅Dynamic game pace ✅Cheap game for the amount of content ✅Simple controls ✅Option to purchase upgrades and new weapons. ❌Soundtrack doesn't match the game ❌Graphics are among the worst I've ever seen ❌Upgrades reset after death ❌Little variety in puzzles/trap ✅✅Verdict: [strike] Very Bad [/strike] , [strike] Bad [/strike] , [b] Decent [/b], [strike] Good [/strike] , [strike] Very Good [/strike] (Rating scale for tested games) If you have any questions about my reviews, feel free to ask. Im happy to answer them. All reviews are my own!! Best regards, King Viking Bezimienny, Polish Game Reviewer.

[h1] Another simple platformer. Shoot and avoid getting smashed by some pesky enemies. Levels feel tedious and boring. Probably next unnecessary game in your library. [/h1]
I don't remember buying this but i guess i did, it must have been very cheap in a sale. I like difficult 2D platformers and i don't like to crap on indie games but this just isn't much fun. Movement feels very stiff making precise platforming more frustrating than it needs to be coupled with the insane speed which your little guy jumps in to the air. You can dodge roll to avoid enemies but sometimes you just roll on the spot for some reason which gets you killed. There's a slight delay in attacking after you press the button which makes hitting flying enemies nearly impossible and why can the bats fly through walls? Don't do that. There's also one song in the whole game which plays on a loop which will drive you mad pretty quickly. Sorry indie dev.
no es divertido y es super corto no esperaba nada y aun asi me decepciono de los peores juegos que jugue, literalmente
I just finished it, and I gotta say, the promotional materials and main menu don't make it justice. =) It's an arcade platformer about a boy equipped only with a bow climbing a 26-levels long dungeon for reasons. Gameplay is pretty fluid and refined, and although some design choices seem odd at first, looking almost like bugs/exploits, considering right in the beginning, a "NPC" indirectly incentivizes cheesing the game, now those designs seem deliberate. I'm not an achievement hunter so I don't think I'll be going for the Golden Levels, which appear to be just harder versions of the normal levels. I certainly recommend it!
[h1] Mudou minha vida para sempre! [/h1] É com enorme emoção que venho aqui relatar que Super Dungeon Boy trata-se de um dos melhores games que joguei nos últimos 10 minutos!
Meh. It's pretty boring.
Super Dungeon Boy is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This seems to have a generic platformer theme specifically to try ape the characteristics of Super Mario Bros and Alex Kidd, trying to be a little meta with the theme proposition, but retro pixel crap looks garbage no matter what it's trying to depict. And as always, the underlying gameplay that's supposed to make up for the garbage visual presentation isn't there either. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the lacklustre 2D visuals. The controls and game handling are notably very clunky and unsmooth here. It's janky and unsatisfying to play... and any experienced gamer will tell you, the handling, responsiveness and general gameplay feel of the control scheme must be well polished for this kind of game to succeed. Unfortunately, this is something the developer seems to have phoned in, with little to no apparent gameplay testing. They dropped the ball on this one. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Super Dungeon Boy is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
