Sunset Rangers

the game was abandoned by the dev, there hasn't been much progress in years... what is present in the game gets quite boring after awhile as it just becomes a rinse and repeat kind of thing... not a whole lot to do in the game

I bought it with a massive discount, but despite that, the game is totally inaccurate, not fully developed. 3/10

I got this game on sale because I love the Old West setting and games that take place in said setting are few and far between. I knew what I was getting into; I knew that it is Early Access, I read the reviews of how barely anyone is on the servers, I read how barren the game is in the current state.....but the thing that made me support the game the most was what I read from the developer. This game was being made by the guys who brought us Damned (which I also own and love) but now it's just by one person, Fisherman. He is very passionate about this project and I believe his passion is sincere and he is working very hard to bring us a good product. The base gameplay so far is pretty solid, albiet a few expected bugs and glitches, but what open world game doesn't have them? (Looking at you Bethesda!). There are a few quests that pop up from time to time, there's bad guys to shoot, loot to find, the Civil War is practically going on and there are things to build. It is a very solid foundation and I believe it has the potential to become something even greater. I have high hopes for the developer and I hope I can see his dreams come true with this game.

R.I.P Sunset Rangers.

Not ready yet. I've been looking for a good Western themed MMO with PvE and PvP elements to play with friends. This one has a lot of potential as there are bandit hideouts, forts and towns you can raid with a group. Plenty of solo work to do with crafting, exploring and looting. The survival element is detailed and realistic enough to keep me interested. (which is also a bit of a grind) The graphics, gameplay, shooting, travel and mob AI are all lack luster and sub standard. I mean all you have to do is play a minute of "New Frontier" or "Conan Exiles" to see the vast difference. I want to like Sunset Rangers and I will revisit in the future but seriously guys, in its current form it looks like something I would have played 20 years ago. Pick up your game if you want to be taken seriously and come back when you have something that looks and feels at least as good as older games like LOTRO, Age of Conan Unchained, Secret World or Elder Scrolls. Sunset Rangers needs a lot of work but I appreciate that its at least making an attempt.

Das Spiel war so der Hammer, ich bin so traurig dass es weg ist. Nein im ernst, es kommt kein Spiel der Welt an dieses Kunstwerk Einzelstück heran. Dies gehört in ein Museum. Ich hatte viel Spaß mit meinen Freunden Bernd und Amory in diesem Wildwest Abenteuer. Man konnte sich so schön zusammen tun um Banditen und gefährliche Kopfgeldjäger oder Nächtliche Indianer Horden töten. Mit dem Pferd reiten und die Map bearbeiten. Es war eine echte Freude. Ich hoffe der Onlinemodus wird nicht eingestellt. Mann konnte auch seine eigenen Leute töten und so viele schöne Sachen bauen.
