Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 10 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Lovecraft-inspired horror meets interactive story game. Very fun, but not for those wishing for fast-paced gaming.
Something is wrong with this game, it causes my monitor to flicker brightly something seizure-inducing. And then once I exit my monitor CONTINUES to flicker, which is interesting. I can't find anything online about this and I've tried changing all kinds of settings in my nVidia control panel etc. I have tried windowed mode, various resolutions, tried disabling screen effects but they get turned right back on? Turned off my second monitor, only running the game, anything I can think of. I have a 3070ti for reference and have had no other games give me similar issues. Unfortunate.

Absolutely critical tip: Use cheat-engine speedup for sailing and frankly even fighting. Overall it's a wonderfully messy game. Beautiful art, utterly ridiculous world with very strong art direction and sometimes hilarious comedy. I can't say anything that hasn't already been said. The gameplay does bring the game down somewhat though cheat-engine for speedup really helps alot though it sucks that for some of the missions/achievments grinding for skills is kinda required which is why... Second critical tip: Don't wait to do Submariner as it has some enemies and events which help grind skillchecks and even money alot faster.
if your looking fast paced, turn left; but if story and atmosphere interest you then your in for a ride.
Zail the Zea! Mostly you buy things to sell at other ports for a profit, collect Port Reports for the admirals in London, and go on strange adventures in the monster-ridden "Unterzee". The world of Fallen London is basically Victorian England, but with lovecraftian horrors and strange mystical things. Also comedy, it's a lot funnier than it sounds. Sunless Sea is definitely a slow game. Travelling by ship is not fast, even with the fastest boats and best engines, and the main reward at port is text-heavy storylets to read. This is NOT a fast-paced combat game full of action; the main engagement is the mysteries and intrigue. Sound like fun? Well, it's alright. What's here is fine. I wish it was a bit more polished and fleshed-out than it is, but I have been having a good time with it. Some tips for new zailors: - Get a notepad, physical or virtual. This game has a LOT of things to remember, you're gonna want to write it down. Flavour text USUALLY doesn't have info in it, but you'll wanna keep track of shop prices, opportunities that need items, and the results of randomly-rolled things. - You're not a warrior. Shoot a little, but be ready to RUN from any fight that's not going well. - Press F to engage full power for a short burst. Your boiler MIGHT explode for some damage, but that's rare and it won't kill you. Like, don't do this for travel, but YES do it for fleeing. - Fuel runs out faster than food, and going hungry isn't instant death. But running out of fuel means you'll almost certainly die. (Food will run out faster if you have a lot of Crew.) - Port Reports almost always exchange for a Fuel, and money besides. If it costs less than a Fuel to get one, get one! - Check the shop prices at every new port, and record them if you're writing things down. Two shops sell Fuel for LESS than London, so keep an eye out! - Ships mark their speed in "weight." Lower weight, faster movement. - Dying is expected, and not that bad. Several Steam achievements require dying in different ways. - If your successor is a Correspondant, they'll keep the same chart as the last captain; this stacks with itself, which allows you to slowly build up a complete map across characters. But if you ever don't select it, the whole map will go dark AND a lot of the islands will shift around. This'll make it way harder to find things, BUT you can re-discover those locations for free Fragments (basically EXP) so there's a tradeoff, kind of. - Scion successors are extremely good, but take a lot of work. It starts with finding romance on the shore of London. Romance at Zee will reduce Terror sometimes, but you won't gain any offspring that way, so no Scions. - And finally: If you see Mt. Nomad, and you don't want to die yet, RUN.
At the time of writing, I have over 80 hours in this game. I have not managed to beat it once. 10/10.
Go to Hell. fuel is very affordable there.

THE SUN! THE SUN! THE SUN! / 10
So incredibly immersive!!!! Haunting sounds, beautiful visuals, and a lore heavy quite funny story! And each island has it's own wildly unique lore but they all relate vaguely like a Lovecraftian mythos. But you don't need to remember any of it by heart because the game lets you read the info you need as many times as you want, and the pop up journal has all your missions and instructions and other stats you need which can be hard to keep track of usually. Controls are easy to remember and easy to use, the menus you need are easy to navigate, and you're supposed to die! I love the legacy option of saving part of what you've earned/discovered from one "life" to the next so you don't start out empty handed. I save my map and expand that each time around. Yes you can just find a full map online but where's the fun in that? I am terrible at any games that aren't puzzles but this game has low level asset management, occasional battles (or run away in my case), and straight forward missions, so I can enjoy is as a little adventure and story discovery game without needing to practice gameplay or strategise too hard. And when I picked it up after literal years of not playing (not for lack of interest, I had nieces to raise), it's super easy to get back into the swing of it. 10/10 zeebats, would sail again!
