Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 10 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Good "choices matter" type of adventure of exploring a dark lovecraftian world. Good, though it was exceptional at launch.
Great if you appreciate a slow burn, and like to piece together lore slowly.
played a ton on ps4, had a blast there. Also played sunless skies on it. Failbetter is incredible, 10/10

Sunless Sea is worth playing for the lovecraftian atmosphere and story. I like that sort of thing. The game doesn’t give you a quick play though; travel speed with your little ship starts to feel tedious after a while. There is some replayability, although once I played through each of the different character types once, I felt done with the game. It was worth the purchase.
This game would be in my top 10 if the majority of the 60 hours at time of writing had not been spent watching my little boat putter about the unterzee while what I was actually doing was watching my youtube pop-out inset of Defunctland and Kevin Perjurer telling me about Walt Disney. What a crazy guy that Disney was, honestly. You can tell he had some deep trauma he was working through, with that need to be in control and create a sort of paradise that operated on his law only. His fantastical artifice-city was probably the weirdest one, like, he really thought he could not just do a corporate town but--oh hold up there's a giant crab. Okay I blew it up. Okay right as I was saying, he really thought he could make a corporate town where people were also the living attractions of the place. Do you think Disney even understood other people had interiority? Because there's a level of sociopathy beneath the veneer of paternalism that--oh hey we're finally at port. What was I doing here again? Let me check the journal. Oh, right, no, the journal just lists all the Event Flags. I don't know what these event flags mean. What does Priming the Primrose 3,000 mean. What was I doing? Why am I here? I guess I need more fuel. Okay. I think we were going to the Cheolonate next. Anyway you can see it in his paranoia about communism, too, which is a kind of cipher, I think, a hate-puppet overlay, of the idea of him not having complete control. I get it, being in control is great! The world is scary and it's good to reassure yourself you have control. In Sunless Sea, you'll sometimes find situations that are completely out of your control, but right now it's still just slowly managing our fuel and hunger meters as we watch the boat go. Anyway, I think it's really funny after the whole controversy of him reviving Lincoln as an animatronic, he himself gets revived as--WAIT! RIGHT! I was going to that port to pick up that thing! Wait no I didn't get the OTHER thing from that OTHER port. Oh d__n that's, oh no that's going to be like 15 real life minutes just to go back and get the right cargo. ... anyway so the funny thing about Disney and anamatronics is...
Delightful gothic victorian embiance with a pinch of lovecraftian chtonic dread for a spice. Perfect storytelling and just the right amount of piffle that balances perfectly between a relaxing expirience and a tense surviving poute whenever something borderline random happens in the story. Recommend playing if searcing for new experiences and fresh look at the games.
Cчитаю что этот шедевр достоин большего внимания и популярности. Когда всё уже наскучило и не один релиз не вызывал интерес, именно эта игра вернула меня задротсво
Good boat... Great, even.
Lovecraft-inspired horror meets interactive story game. Very fun, but not for those wishing for fast-paced gaming.
While I like this game, and I've spent 69 hours (nice) playing it, I can't recommend it. The strength of the Fallen London universe has always been in the sheer wonder and amazement of the worldbuilding, the characters, the stories, and of course the mystery and intrigue surrounding all of the concepts. The greatest weakness of Sunless Sea is the mechanics of the game. As fun as it is initially to explore a blank map and scratch off the blackness to uncover locations, the stories and characters get quickly buried underneath the sheer amount of time it takes to get to each place. Additionally, active quests are hard to access, and it is difficult to remember or rediscover what special items you have or don't have, or are in the process of making for a specific quest, or where certain components may be found. This makes it an exercise in frustration to plan ahead before you set out and make a costly, dangerous, pointless journey that takes up hours of your real life. I didn't enjoy that in order to get around this, I needed to always have the wiki open so I could check and double check myself before I went to an island without the macguffin I needed to progress a certain storyline. Adding the Zubmariner DLC only compounded this problem by adding more content without addressing the underlying mechanical issue. Visually interesting? Yes. A well built world that is clearly fascinating and mysterious? Yes. But the actual gameplay experience leaves much to be desired.
