About
Sunken Veins is a management horror game set on a flooding underwater coal mine. Your job is to gather coal whilst dealing with overwhelming floods of water and avoiding adaptive creatures that hunt and deceive you.
Sunken Veins features realistic simulated water physics that reacts to the environment. Block and reinforce doors to prevent water from spreading, or drain it away to remove the danger.
Operate a deep-sea mining drill to extract coal and scraps. Whilst mining, the facility builds heat, which increases the chances of causing a flood. Find the balance between gathering resources and keeping heat levels low.
Floods in the facility will cause you to lose power faster and also slow your movement. Large industrial drains will help you remove water and keep the water levels down.
A proactive approach can help you stay alive. Repair and reinforce ceiling vents. Fortify doors to stop water spreading. Whatever it takes.
Deploy robotic companions to help you deal with problems. Vacuum Crabs will patrol and drain away water whilst Canary Drones will scout and alert you of danger.
You aren't alone. Predatory creatures have found their way into the mine after the company disrupted their home. They are smart, adaptive and very dangerous. How you play will influence the behaviours they use to hide, deceive and try to kill you.

Really cool concept. Only two levels and they are more like tutorials, however, with some development this game could definitely turn into a really fun resource management game. Super polished compared to a lot of the games that are being released. For $6, as long as the game continues to get improved, absolutely worth it. Only single player for now but if it eventually got multiplayer on top of it, this could be something really really good. I wasn't aware of how short it was at this time, and was really upset it was over as quick as it was. Not in a negative way, I just didn't want to stop.
Was super hyped for this game and can honestly say it has not disappointed me. It's a challenge for sure and keeps you on edge when dealing with the creature, on top of managing your mine and trying to keep on top of any floods. 10/10 would recommend.
Nice niche game Not a lot of content at present but the price point is perfect. I look forward to how this game progresses in the future..
Fun game with nice graphic but steam deck is not powerful enough for steady 30FPS. Also it cooks the CPU. Still on my high end PC it's very fun.
Genuinely one of my favorite horror games and its just one level so far(besides the tutorial) I NEED MOREE!!! The modifiers and twitch integration make the game infinitely replayable and SO FUN!! My viewers were loving causing everything to go wrong while I desperately tried to survive. The monster is super unique and unpredictable as well! Got a few really good scares out of me! The sound design and optimization are also incredible. 10/10 PLEASE KEEP WORKING ON THIS GAME, I LOVE IT!!!!
Really great game. The water physics are great. Opening a door and having a wave of water come through is both really cool and terrifying. Provided they keep updating the game its an 8/10 https://youtu.be/nSuZZK6dMXI
Games concept is really cool. i am playing early access and it is really short, i mean half an hour, but there is replayability pros. I like the crab customisation the water physics look and feel great the atmosphere feels good Learning how to do thing by doing them is the best way sprinting isn't with a stamina bar cons. (i assume is because it is still in development tho) I didn't see any creature in my first non tutorial shift Movement is on the slow side It short (for now) the flashlight blinds me every time it reflects on anything The lack of animation on the equipment side In all i enjoyed this and will continue to play it and am excited to see future updates also first
Wow! I really like this. The water mechanics are awesome and the game itself is fun and feels unique. I have 1 feature request: online Co-op
I really like the water simulation dymanics here! It is really fun and the dev keeps adding more content everytime I check it! Congrats, it deserves more reviews!
