Summer Trip Cruise

I've played for 15 minutes, will return later since I have like 20 other games I've purchased. I could see myself trying to perfect my parking skills with this ship parking simulator. The ship steers the way a ship should steer. The music is horrible, but for the Steam Summer Sale, this is a must pick up. Full controller support, and controller support is top notch.

I played this game on steam deck and if you can, that's how I recommend you play it. The controls are much simpler on the steam deck. R2 and L2 control steering, A is the horn and up and down on the left joystick/d-pad controls the throttle. I see a lot of complaints about everything being controlled by mouse on PC and would agree that's a tough control scheme for this type of game. The only drawback is the leader boards are disabled when you use a game pad like the steam deck. That wasn't a deal breaker for me. The game is a fun challenge to drift your cruise ship through canals and waterways. Crashing is common and its easy and quick to restart the level so the feeling of failure doesn't last long. The only negative about this game is it's far too short. I beat the game, which consists of 15 levels across 3 countries, in 3.6 hours. That was getting 3 stars on each level, which requires you to beat the level without crashing, steer through a marker during the level and finish under a set time. Each level ranges from a minute to 3 minutes in length. Definitely wanted to keep playing because it is a fun game. But at $10 (I got it on sale, I think its normally $12) its a toss up as to whether or not its worth it. I don't equate playtime to dollars spent but given whats here, I definitely think more levels could have been offered. Overall I think its a good game for a few hours of fun and challenge.

It looks great, the soundtrack is very fitting and the game itself is very good if a bit purposefully difficult by way of the controls. Normally the controls are mouse only which is where the difficulty lies, though it does have controller support if you use it, it disables leaderboards (if that matters) but even with a controller I am not a great captain. It's still a great time, plus the screaming is on point and you get a breakdown on how many tourists you got killed if you finish the trip with your busted ship. I don't see myself sinking a tonne of time into this but it's definitely one i will keep coming back to. It reminds me a lot of poly bridge in that way, as well as the graphics style. Should play well on just about anything. 8/10

A great little causal game that can get frantic real quick if you go for speed. But you don't have to! Keep it cool and calm and it's super satisfying. This game doesn't try to be anything more than it needs to be and I love it for that.
