Very simplistic rougelite with interesting concept around using color combinations to defeat enemies. Game is difficult enough to where it's a challenge but feels fun to where you want to keep playing more, chasing the highs of getting certain builds and surpassing your previous best times. For the low price, it's definitely worth buying
Really fun creative gameplay. Something I can easily sink hours into with a lot of replayability.
Never played a roguelike in my life but still found it REALLY enjoyable. Game was very easy to understand from the get-go and became obsessed The drinks and sugars are all unique and create an endless amount of new ways to play the game VERY VERY recommend

Sugar Rush is a fun little top down rogue-like game with a bit of a creative twist on the genre. Instead of defeating enemies by dealing damage, you try and match a specific color combination for each one. This makes it stand out, as opposed to other titles in the genre that incite late game devolving into a stat check, Sugar Rush only increases the pressure to preform. The effect of this is runs where you survive twenty, thirty minutes feel amazing, as it wasn't that you necessarily had a good build, you managed to keep up with and stay on top of all the insanity the game threw at you. Of course, there are traditional rogue-like elements like collectible items or drinks you can equip before a game starts that will give you advantages, but it's very clear when you're playing any assistance these give you is no crutch for actually playing the game well. It works best as a quick game to pick up and spend 10-15 minutes on, and for a $5 price tag I feel that's completely fair. To me, it felt fresh and I can see myself booting up for a run here and there for quite a while.
