Stranger of Sword City

I tried a few times to get into it, but it just feels like a really rough ride for the wrong reasons. It's not Wizardly traditional enough to really feel like it matters, and it's not new-age enough to say it's a smooth operator either. It really sits in an awkward bubble, and a lot of that has to do with the inherent and promoted level of grinding in it. Literally one of the first mechanics you're taught of is to sit around and wait for enemies to appear so you can get PHAT LOOT. Really missed the mark. If you want oldschool with a workable interface, just go play Wizardry 8.

I can't speak to the new "Revisited" version, but this is Experience's magnum opus and one of the best dungeon crawlers out there. A must-play for genre fans.

Probably my favorite dungeon-crawler game. Has a lot of grind, but it's a good choice for anyone who derives satisfaction from the results of a lot of effort.

i dont like character customization like this. Game just dungeon crawler and difficult, no more.
