About
In Storage Anomaly, you take on the role of a cashier tasked with identifying unusual anomalies in a store's storage room. This game blends observation, exploration, and simple puzzle-solving. You will need to navigate through a dark environment and overcome unexpected challenges to complete your mission. Keep your eyes open and get ready to search for anomalies!
The game starts with a normal version of the storage room, which you can explore to familiarize yourself with the area. This phase is crucial, as you must memorize the layout of objects, the lighting, the sounds of the environment, and the objects you can interact with.
After this observation phase, anomalies begin to appear. These can be:
Visual: Displaced, appeared, or disappeared objects, faulty lights, changes in the room's layout.
Auditory: Strange noises, unusual silence, sounds that shouldn’t be present.
Interactions: Objects that react unexpectedly when you interact with them.
When an anomaly is suspected, you must use your phone to take a photo of it and report it to your boss. For this, you will need Wi-Fi, which will force you to leave the storage room. As the game progresses, unexpected events will complicate your task. Each found anomaly earns you $10. You can choose to save this money to end the game when you reach $100 or spend it on upgrades that will help you search for anomalies.
When you have $100, your boss lets you go home, and the game ends.
Headphones are required (for some anomalies).

Storage Anomaly is a fun and relatively short anomaly hunting game. It's the first game created by this dev, and as such, it's not a bad one. My advice as a fan of the anomaly games is - please, in your next project make sure that at least some of the anomalies are a bit more visible. And a bit more scary. Unfortunately I did not enjoy this game. The only anomaly I was able to find was an obvious one, every other anomaly is so subtle that they are impossible to find, even on easy mode. Ah well, another one in the bin.
3/10 Slow paced game, with uninteresting anomalies. I like the phone mechanic and upgrades, but the game is a little hard to play because every time my mouse cursor moves too far off to the sides it pulls me out of the game. I'm not sure how to stop that from happening. As far as I can tell there is no save feature, so I can't keep my upgrades or start again where I left the game last.
Witziges, kurzweiliges Anomalie Spiel.
