Awesome indie walking-sim-adventure. The best part of this little game is the story told through your (voiced) ai-companion and logs. It is very immersive and deep and the lore behind it is interesting. The visuals are very good for an indietitle, stylisch and neon-dark. The puzzles are easy, mostly searching the rooms for passwords and other stuff. If you like good stories and wallking sims, give it a try.
Playing through and 100 percenting took just under 2 hours for me. With that in mind, it's an interesting game. You are tasked with escaping from the tower while piecing together the story through the lives of the inhabitants. The graphics are nice and the views from the windows made me want to explore more the world had to offer. The levels of the tower are small so I imagine the footprint in the overall scheme of the city is minuscule. There are some creepy parts that offer flashbacks. The downsides for me were the sounds/music and inventory. Overall the music it was nice but at times it seems when loop ends, everything is suddenly silent until it starts up again. Inventory does not exist. I'd like to see the items or at least a list of what I had picked up. I wouldn't have remembered had I took a break from playing. I'd recommend it as a good entry into a cyberpunk aesthetic.
Cyberpunk narrative. Find glitches on each floor to progress, whilst a digital demon stalks you. Great dark-neon moody atmosphere and the puzzles don't get in the way of the story progression. https://youtu.be/hsxLTWVJGzA
This is a really interesting and unique game. I just started playing but I'm having a lot of fun with it! It's a psychological thriller, and it that sounds appealing to you, you should definitely try it!
A very intriguing story set in an interesting cyber-punk world, Static offers a creepy and unsettling narrative that goes beyond the premise of a simple escape room. Fantastic narration drives you to your objective to get the hell out of the massacre that your character evaded. The world that this title sets up is intriguing and deep, providing story bits throughout the adventure via written and recorded logs of the victims in the building. It makes you want to learn more about the world of Kanaka, something that I plan on doing by checking out Dogwood's other title in the universe, Ashes of Kanaka.
Just got the game. Having played Ashes of Kanaka, I am excited to pick up the game to get a chance to go back into the Ashes Universe. I want to try this game out to see of I can get pulled into the atmosphere and get a great experience. Can't wait to get started!
I would love to play this game all the way to the end, however it runs rather bad on my dated laptop. Is there a way to edit the graphics settings in order to improve the framerate? I could not find any options in-game.
I found this to be a very well written walking game with the occasional run in with the horror throughout. One thing I especially liked is the dynamic between the ai and the main character. Its almost charming at the beginning but turned twisted near the end. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a carefully atmosphered title.
This game is an absolute gem! A psychological thriller set in a futuristic world (It honestly seems like a different universe that this team has created) that kept me looking over my shoulder and feeling like something was watching me! The update that they just made to the game seems to have fixed most of the issues that the other reviews have had. I was able to play through this beautifully constructed world to the end; though I am still trying to get the good ending. I also joined the developers Discord to let them know how much I enjoyed their game, now I can keep up with any new projects. Highly recommended
This is a fun indie game where you get to go through adventure and escape from a very snippy AI. You get to have fun and you get to adventure through and discover what happened in the complex you are in. Hope you guys enjoy this psychological thriller as much as I did!
