open-world survival game that truly impressed me. The graphics are stunning—beautiful landscapes, detailed environments, and dynamic lighting really pull you into the world. It feels alive and engaging from the moment you start
Spent more time getting food than actually enjoying the game. Garbage.
This game says it was released on May 2023, yet it isn't even in a released state yet. There is still fully accessible developer additions in it so you can teleport to a remote area in the hills where there are floating boxes and missing textures. No updates since that date... This is completely abandonned. I want to ask for a refund for my time that I put into the game.

Not your typical survival game Started playing this because I was bored of the usual survival stuff. It's... actually good? Several points: - Looks very good for an indie-game - Sound design that adds to exploration - different environments have unique sound signatures - Survival mechanics aren't too annoying, but you can’t ignore theme either - Quests are tough, but not grindy - UI that just looks right - slick, to the point, important info at a glance and the design fits the genre - Natural weather that impacts visibility - Day-night cycle is well done
The Game With So Much Heart, Yet So Many Bugs no zombies This game really wants to offer something special a survival experience based on natural realism, emotional immersion, and a player-driven narrative. You aren’t mindlessly grinding gear or shooting zombies. You’re figuring out how to survive in a world that feels untouched, ancient, and alien. Still, there’s something noble about it. Lying down to rest actually matters. Eating restores your organs. You can sit, swim, crawl—and it all feels meaningful with a purpose behind it. Right now, there are still some minor bugs that are annoying me, so hopefully they are fixed soon, that would make the game really something different.
Emotional and deep, if you can look past the rough edges loop The concept of the game is fascinating: survival in a closed biosphere, with permadeath and no modern tools to help you. When I first launched the game, I wasn’t expecting much beyond a standard survival loop. But after a couple of hours, I found myself actually attached to my character and surprisingly invested in the story fragments and atmospheric cues. There’s something personal and introspective about this game that I haven’t found in others. It felt like I was on a journey—one with no guaranteed outcome, no clear quest log, and no safety net. Actually, survival gaming in general has been very clunky so far from my experience, too fast-paced, felt more like an FPS-game, too chaotic and missed the mark, but Starwalker makes it all feel natural in a way with the right pace.
Lost in the cylinder, starving but intrigued full half naked
I have no idea what’s going on in Starwalker and honestly? I love it. I woke up half-naked in a field, drank water out of a pond like a deranged squirrel, and got tired from walking 40 meters. The game slapped me in the face and said, “Survive.” No tutorial, no hand-holding, just vibes and dehydration. This world is too big, too vast, and somehow still captivating. The game doesn’t reward you with XP or cool loot. It rewards you with not dying. I walked a kilometer and gained 5 stamina. Big whoop. But I earned that 5 stamina, and now no one can take it from me, not even the next random deer that decides to trample me out of nowhere. I’ve fist-fought strangers, hid in rivers like a wet rat, and danced alone at sunrise. I hate this game’s guts and yet I think about it when I’m not playing. Is that Stockholm syndrome? I don’t know. All I know is the forest is watching, and I’m thirsty again. I’m mad, hungry, and emotionally attached to a character I didn’t get to customize. He looks nothing like me, but we’ve suffered together. I’ve never seen a game so much force me to care about breathing. 9/10, please never fix the weirdness.
I didn’t think I’d get so much into a game that has basically no objective, no guidance. No map. But that’s the magic of Starwalker. It respects you. It throws you in a giant rotating alien ecosystem and goes, “Survive. Go on. Figure it out.” I found myself learning to listen to my character’s body. Like, actually. When he was tired, I had to sit. When I swam too long, I weakened. When I ran too hard, my breathing became louder. It’s like survival turned into a conversation between me and the avatar I didn’t even pick at first, but slowly started to get a sense for. The world is so open and atmospheric I kind of forgot I was playing a game. Trees sway. Birds chirp. Villages seem half-haunted. It’s like a lost Studio Ghibli film if the plot was “please find a pond before you die.” If they add more quests and clean up the bugs, this game could be legendary. But even now, in its strange, messy form, it’s somehow something special.
i spawned and immediately started to swim my way through the air to town.
