Don't buy get monster instead...
Well, it's a major WTF?!? on startup. The custom controls screen look like someone, who needed to DO crack to get straight, did them. There being no brightness control i wonder WHAT planet it's on. With the accidental crashes, i'm not thrilled by first impressions. There were TWO "go right" controls to set, wth is that about?!? Seriously, this coder needs to straighten this game up before calling it "playable". It was just a hot mess and i really didn't go beyond the intro area not knowing what was going to work and what wasn't. There are games you feel comfortable testing and games you look at and go "okay, this person needs to finish" and that's what i see when playing this game. Now, my reviews have 'upset' coders in the past. When a game is good i say good, when it's great, i say it's great, and when it needs work....well....you get a review like this one. nuff said? Note: I don't allow comments for multiple reasons, the main on is that this area is for REVIEWS. When you add comments, you turn a review into a discussion and that's not what this area is for. Also, it tends to attract what i term as "attack DOGS" which are people who only want to start fires, i don't go for that. I left that sort of thing back in the old BBS days. Now, take what you will from my review. As a owner of over 2300+ titles, i feel like i've played enough games (from every genre) to give an honest take, but this is "my" take and not meant to sway you. I'm just telling you the effect i got when playing with, no need for other's critiquing my take on things.
Ah yeah I forgot about this dumpster-fire.... This thing is.... well, it's barely a game. Can you find loot, kill a few people and animals, search the entire map for like 11 or 12 blueprints in order to build base-components required for crafting progression, and curse like a sailor whenever the game glitches out and yeets you under the map? Yes... Yes you can do all those things, and more. More broken crap that is. Find loot, bring it back, build your tiny base, get some power going, and then save and leave it for the day. Come back, and there's a chance half your crap is gone, the save is corrupted, or other random crap. And don't even get me started on the optimization. This thing LOOKS like The Infected as far as appearances go, and it's basically a rip-off of The Infected, just replacing the Vambies with wandering Raider ai's, but it runs like No Man's Sky just after release. Okay, not that bad, but close. Oh, yeah ther'es only one map. There's supposed to be more, but nah, dev basically said "we puttin this in" then walked away with a "syke, get fu*ked". So yeah. Avoid this one. $20? Even $10 is too much for this garbage. Smdh. Edit: I just checked, The Infected was released to Early Access in 2020, and it's still in ea even now, however it's last update was in Dec. Not blog update, actual update. Meanwhile this... thing that calls itself a game did a "full-release" in 2024... in it's current state... yeah..
Great game to play good fun looks good plays smooth. The only thing I don't like about this game is the building items if you put things the wrong way round or in the wrong place you can not just move them you got to axe them apart which takes way to long. But still a fun game to play.
dont waste your time. it doesn't save your game.
Game was alright to start with and as updates rolled out, things got worse. Inventory started being buggy (weight in storage with no items) and the gunplay became terrible. Bullet flight is so bad to the point you're better off using a crossbow. Last update was 09/24 and it seems the developer has moved on with no updates in the forseeable future.
Fun game if you enjoy complex crafting recipes and my favorite metallurgy.
too many bugs. sucks and i never complaint on any games on steam except this one. even 7 days to die have bugs but i never complaint about it. maybe the dev should "start over" making this game.
Nah I'm good I got a feeling this game is similar to that BS game The Front and I hate that game with a passion.
What started out as a promising game has sadly left a bitter taste in my mouth. For me atleast this game had an interesting concept ( Not the aliens they were crap ) but it still feels massively unfinished and was nowhere near ready for 1.0 release. Its a cheap game so it will bring you some fun but ultimately not worth it. Shame.
