Really nice VN, it has everything you want, plot, yearning, and girls being gay. 10/10

I like it a lot but I lost my save file. :') which just means i can play it again! I fancied Scherza the most, she kinda reminds me of Elsa lol. And I wanted to leave a review while my hours are at a 'nice' number.

8/10, a well written, short yuri VN, all characters are likable and well developed.

You play as Aria, a girl who moves into her grandfather’s old house. While exploring the upstairs study one night, she and her friend Melody accidentally unleash a flirtatious demon named Lyria, who spent the past fifty years in a stone. After freeing her from her prison, the two become attached by a ‘lifestone’, which means Lyria can’t go far from Aria without feeling repercussions, and vice versa. Now Aria, an ordinary highschool girl, must find a way to free herself from Lyria. Or not.

Tldr: Its pretty good and would recommend on sale for an enjoyable 4-6 hour romance/drama visual novel. Starlight Vega is one of Razzart's first works. Compared to something like Love Ribbon, SV's writing, while nowhere near bad, can feel awkward. The characters don't get enough character time outside of anything plot related, and some sections feel a bit anemic. For example, the conflict regarding Arya's grandfather, grandmother, and Vega. While you can piece together what basically happened, in my opinion it would have been much more evocative if it was told in more detail in the first or second person. For example, in Lyria's route, she tells you a story about her father's past which is done pretty well. The prose as well can occasionally can get awkward, like it needed another QA pass, but overall its fine. One other thing is that a couple characters (Reid and Scherza in particular) come off differently depending on what route you go through. They mostly do the same plot actions, but their demeanour shift is a bit puzzling and not really called for in my opinion. The Lyria and Melody do of course also change their demeanour depending on which one's route you go down, but that's more natural and in character with both of them. On the scale of smut to story, Starlight Vega leans pretty heavily towards story - there's one explicit sex scene, and two others which only go up to foreplay before skipping to after the deed. Unfortunately the scene is rather short, but it is otherwise good. There's a cg gallery but that doesn't have the writing to go along with it which is half of the scene imo. Fortunately in their later works they learn from this and include a lot more "content". With all that being said, the story is still lots of fun. The main characters are otherwise well written and are amusing to watch interact. Although the soundtrack doesn't have any absolute bangers, it does fit the story well and feels catchy. The pacing is good, you gradually learn more about the characters and Vega, though the pacing does stumble a bit at the very end. Lots of situations, like Aria's discomfort and alienation in Vega during Lyria's routes, is written extremely well. Lyria's antics and advances are pretty steamy to read. There are a lot of great moments throughout! They frequently put SV on a massive discount during sale weeks - at that price its an extremely easy recommend if you're into shorter romance / drama stories.

Excellent game, Aria x Melody <3 I got some really strong Tenchi Muyo vibes (Lyria reminds me of Ryoko, actually even read her scenes with her voice in mind). Great game, worth full price and I'm glad it goes beyond the innocent love phase
