It is like megaman+metroid. I recently obtain this game. It is promising. Atmosphere is fun. Needs some update about controller and in game mechanics tho.
Update: the dev released a patch that addressed many of my issues. Changing to recommend for the time being, assuming the patch delivers, and will do an updated review when I finish! ———————————/ There’s a good game in here, but it’s missing a lot of polish. I think some play testing could’ve really helped it shine. I encountered 4 bugs, 2 of which were game breaking and one that wiped my save. For the latter, the dev jumped in and fixed it very fast, so hats off to that. Besides the bugs, the map really needs work. It doesn’t indicate doors, transition rooms to new areas, and many points of interest despite appearing to mark all important items. There were countless times where I had no idea where to go, and you are dealing with like 20 areas, and there’s zero way to know where to go. The dialogue would give you hints, but there was no way to go back and see what they said again. I spent 2 hours near the end trying to find where to go, and that’s when I had to call it quits. There is a lot of good, the level design is solid, player movement feels good, solid tile sets. When I wasn’t totally lost, I was having a great time. If this game ever gets some polish, it would be an easy recommendation. But the bugs, lack of way finding, and disorienting map make me not able to recommend.

One of those games that makes me wish there was a neutral review. I've yet to properly clear the game at the time of reviewing it
since I defeated the final boss in Cryogenics (think this is unintentional, I had a damage upgrade and was doing about a pixel's worth of damage per shot)
, and agree with iuoiuboiuoiub about the gameplay being unpolished - map doesn't differentiate between having explored a room or not, dashing and fan physics feel strange, etc. That being said, it's still fun if you're looking for a cheap Metroidvania - did buy it at a heavy discount due to annual summer sales, but it's mostly been worth the full price of $4.99 so far.
This game is fantastic! Fun mechanics and upgrades! Highly recommend!
I'm really loving this game, especially for the price. It's a nice game if you want to relax and play something a pixel art metriodvania.
Metroid and Mega Man tossed in a blender, blended until smooth. Plays great and feels nostalgic, worth the price.
Tras terminar la intro y jugar unos minutos mas sale un cartel de error que obliga a cerrar y al volver a inciar el juego se ha borrado la ranura de grabado. También se congela en partes. Por favor arreglenlo, me gusta pero es injugable así.
A fun little metroidvania! I ran into a few small bugs, and some of the boss fights felt a little simplistic, but I still had fun playing through this, getting new abilities and exploring the map!
