About

In Starbound, you create your own story - there’s no wrong way to play! You may choose to save the universe from the forces that destroyed your home, uncovering greater galactic mysteries in the process, or you may wish to forego a heroic journey entirely in favor of colonizing uncharted planets.

Discover ancient temples and modern metropolises, trees with eyes, and mischievous penguins. Make use of hundreds of materials and over two thousand objects to build a sleepy secluded cabin in the woods, a medieval castle, underwater arcade, or even a space station.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

(Zamówiłem w przedsprzedaży ulepszoną edycję i czuję się, jakby mnie oszukano) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall, the game is great; it's clear there was an idea, and it had great potential. Unfortunately, the game was abandoned. Now, after years of silence, the developers have returned to suck up the last of the money by offering a vinyl copy of the music to celebrate the game's 10th anniversary, thus spitting in the face of the fans. Honestly, if it weren't for the game's modding scene, you could write to Valve asking them to remove this unfunny joke from the Steam website. (I pre-ordered the enhanced edition and I feel like I'm being scammed) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chucklefish "In 2019, Chucklefish were accused of exploiting around a dozen voluntary contributors during the development of Starbound, sometimes logging hundreds of hours with no compensation. Many of them were teenagers at the time and stated that they felt their inexperience was exploited by company director Finn Brice."
At a glance Starbound looks very similar to a game like Terraria. While there are many comparisons that can be made, Starbound has many unique elements like manipulator and tech upgrades, a multitude of randomly generated planets, and a proper story. The gameplay loop is familiar to other sandbox games - gather a plethora of materials, craft using said materials, and equip yourself with new armor, weapons, and tools to aid exploration. In general the progression of the game is satisfying and there are plenty of other activities to focus on when you need a break from story progression. Despite these great inclusions I do feel like much of my enjoyment was sapped from a lack of quality-of-life features that made inventory management and weapon discovery a hassle. While this game has a great modding scene that alleviates these issues, I wish to rate the game as it is. Know that Starbound is still worth your time to play and that the pixel graphics, varied music, and sci-fi theming make this an enjoyable journey! With almost 600 hours, I can say that I like it modded or unmodded. I just like the replayability and the fun that comes with playing with friends.
Dommage qu'il n'ai pas été continué. Un super jeu
Love the journey and mechanics. Good rpg but can get pretty tough. Loved spending hours creating, digging and exploring. Music is also amazing. Awesome, laid back side scroller. The mods are also really cool as well. (Star Wars, Star Trek, anime, Final Fantasy, custom, etc.)
good game.
