It is a time of great rejoicing in the galaxy. Luke Skywalker, with the help of Wedge Antilles, has blown up the Death Star. But there is little time to celebrate. The mighty Empire is gathering strength for a determined, all-out assault on the Rebel forces.

This is a good game but the controles are kinda weired but maybe it's just my controls
my classic childhood star wars game, Rogue Squadron is my first dogue fight sim and star wars game, well lets just say you cant go wrong with this one, music, gameplay, escort mission based rng all your classic plaisur and pain in one oldshools game may the force be with you .
A Star Wars combat flight simulator from 1997. One of my top three games of all time. If you like aerial combat, and game from the 90s which you can play without the latest GPU, its a game worth the price of lunch.
nextgen
I grew up with the sequel on Gamecube, so picking this up was something of a nobrainer for me. If you're like me in this regard, do yourself a favor and look for resources or guides on getting this game running well on modern systems. This was released in 1998, after all, and systems created in the period are a far cry from those of today! The best resources for getting any game running well will come from the mouth of a speedrunner, since they replay games for speed, and that comes from extended play sessions or many repeat playthroughs. One such speedrunner recommends getting two other programs to make modern systems talk with Rogue Squadron better, and control better with modern gamepads. If only they remade this...
Horrible port, maybe one of the worst ive ever touched in 20 years of pc gaming.

My childhood was great thanks to Rogue Squadron!
Game is okay. Doesn't run great on modern hardware. If your monitor is over 60 fps, you're going to have to do a lot of configuring to make it work.
It still keeps up really great these days
