About
Hop into the driver's seat of your rocket-powered big rig as you haul cargo, scavenge for salvage and interact with an eclectic cast of star-hopping truckers in this Americana-infused journey on the ultimate open road - space!

Hi, this is Monster and Monster. Star Trucker is our tiny indie team's passion project, and we’re committed to making it the best intergalactic trucking game we can. By listening to the community, we’re working hard to improve the experience with every update. So buckle up and join us for the long haul!

Your truck is not a starship. We’ve taken typical vehicular controls then made sure zero-g momentum played a big part in maneuvers. The result is a unique driving experience that’s easy to pick up yet hard to master!
Cruise the hyper highways, taking on a variety of jobs such as fuel hungry long hauls and hazardous drop-offs to earn cash and unlock new content.
And don't forget to monitor the CB radio for chatter from fellow truckers; it's a fantastic way to uncover side gigs and stay updated on galactic gossip.

Keeping your rig runnin’ isn’t always easy. You’ll need to keep your core systems online, gravity compensator spinnin’ and hull patched to prevent your cab from leaking lung juice.
Be sure to make pre-trip shop stops for replacement parts, and consider upgrading your truck at a local garage. These improvements are vital for safely navigating volatile sectors and ensuring timely deliveries.

Use the galactic map to plan your journey and warp jumps, while keeping an eye on your fuel reserves and power levels.
Once your route is set, kick back, crank up the cab hi-fi and cruise to a selection of original songs covering starburst blues, galactic rock and asteroid infused americana. The open road is waiting!

U can drive space truck with Darude - Sandstorm on headphones
The game is frustrating, the controls are clunky, the internal camera doesn’t let you see well, you have to follow a road to get from one point to another but it’s hard to stay on them, you might crash into another truck, and if you go off the road you’ll end up hitting scrap. In the space stations there are several docking points for different shops when everything could easily be in one. There’s only one truck. All the areas look very similar to each other.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great idea. Looks like a great story and world. It has 1 massive failure. There is no way to charge the batteries that do everything in your truck, from engine, to oxygen to your suit. The intention is to constantly buy new batteries with no way to charge the ones you depleted. I think there are 6 or more systems that require batteries. Even the bigger capacity batteries don't last that long (maybe 3 - 4 hauls) and stores generally don't have more than 3 batteries. Which means aside from the in game cost it means you get into this process of do 1 - 2 hauls. Go buy batteries and repeat. It completely takes you out of the story and away from the general want to explore. It sounds like such a small thing but it changes the way you have to play the whole game. They do offer a variety of pre-made settings out of the box which is great but it seems the battery need balance isn't good on any. Searching online people seem to suggest just use custom settings and then you can enjoy the game but I am not sure how it is really how the developers intended people to play the game. Considering the discussions around this topic online I would hope the developers try to think of a way to make this a less painful experience. What about solar panel charger for a small number of batteries on the truck. At least so you can save your self if you didn't pick up enough batteries on the last run
An extremely fun trucking simulator for people who are much more fond of work simulators! I've never played any other trucking simulators, because the idea of driving for long periods with nothing to concern you beyond avoiding hitting things and maybe having to refuel never appealed to me: I need more to do than that. Also simulating real life one to one held no appeal for me, I needed the fantasy element that moving the game to space gave it! I've greatly enjoyed other cleaning/repair/work simulators such as Viscera Cleanup Detail, Recycling Centre Simulator, and Uncle Chop's Rocket Shop. And this game feels like it had elements from all of these games rolled into one and attached to a trucking sim. And it's set in space, which is the best setting! A lot of people are complaining that the maintenance aspect of repairing components and replacing batteries is too hard. To that I'd say first, don't play Uncle Chop's Rocket Shop (but actually do, it's amazingly good if you're repair-brained like me!) and secondly it's only hard compared to, say, Farming Simulator, where repairing just means pressing X on a store and watching your wallet take another small hit. Conquering maintenance in this game merely means learning where things are, what to do with them, and in what order. And given your entire world is the size of a single living room, it's a pretty simple puzzle to solve. Watch your guages, read every page of the (very well written and tutorialised) manual, adjust the FOV slightly so that you can both watch the road and see warning lights on the dashboard without having to move your head as far, and you should be fine! It's not like you have to play a minigame in order to do repairs, you just need to make sure you keep a few spare parts stored safely, watch your guages for when they're about to fail, and replace them when needed. Also if you don't notice a repair is needed until it's too late and the temperature inside is starting to plummet/rise, go straight for your spacesuit, don't try to fix it until you're safe, that'll save you a lot of frustration. There's definitely a lot of early game crunch that almost had me on the verge of restarting my first game so that I wouldn't have wasted so much money and barely escaped bankruptcy, but that just made it all the more fun to claw my way to success and ultimately beating the game on my first try! The original soundtrack shows that there was a lot of heart going into the romantic ideal of the trucking lifestyle. Again, I'm not familiar with the genre, but if I heard these songs on the radio and asked me to imagine the ideal occupation for them, I'd have to say truck driving. Some pretty good tracks in there too! I can't fault the voice acting or scripts for the main storyline either. Clearly written and voiced by actual humans with a decent sense of humour and a solid idea of what they wanted each character to be, and with a good diverse range of accents. I'm very glad that there was clearly no AI used whatsoever for the writing aspect of the game, a shame I have to praise that these days when it should be mandatory. I've seen some say that there's no customization, but that's just wrong, there's a huge range of customization for paint jobs, exhaust shapes, grill styles, etc, you just don't unlock the ability to buy them within the first 2h of gameplay, which is probably where they all prematurely gave up. This has been a pretty unfocused review, I just want to say that I had a lot of fun, I found it colourful and charming and a happy experience, and certainly much more fun than I ever would have expected I would have with any kind of truck simulator. If you've never played a truck simulator game, but you love space, the idea of salvaging space wrecks, and want to mix in a bit of inventory managment and maintenance with your driving, then this is a great game for you!

Für echte Space Trucker :)
Great Game! It took a bit to get used to navigating the ship/truck, but it gets better. Be sure to keep track of the systems on the ship, gas, etc. If I go for a long distance haul, I save often to get the most profit from the trip. I'm really enjoying it!
