About
Hop into the driver's seat of your rocket-powered big rig as you haul cargo, scavenge for salvage and interact with an eclectic cast of star-hopping truckers in this Americana-infused journey on the ultimate open road - space!

Hi, this is Monster and Monster. Star Trucker is our tiny indie team's passion project, and we’re committed to making it the best intergalactic trucking game we can. By listening to the community, we’re working hard to improve the experience with every update. So buckle up and join us for the long haul!

Your truck is not a starship. We’ve taken typical vehicular controls then made sure zero-g momentum played a big part in maneuvers. The result is a unique driving experience that’s easy to pick up yet hard to master!
Cruise the hyper highways, taking on a variety of jobs such as fuel hungry long hauls and hazardous drop-offs to earn cash and unlock new content.
And don't forget to monitor the CB radio for chatter from fellow truckers; it's a fantastic way to uncover side gigs and stay updated on galactic gossip.

Keeping your rig runnin’ isn’t always easy. You’ll need to keep your core systems online, gravity compensator spinnin’ and hull patched to prevent your cab from leaking lung juice.
Be sure to make pre-trip shop stops for replacement parts, and consider upgrading your truck at a local garage. These improvements are vital for safely navigating volatile sectors and ensuring timely deliveries.

Use the galactic map to plan your journey and warp jumps, while keeping an eye on your fuel reserves and power levels.
Once your route is set, kick back, crank up the cab hi-fi and cruise to a selection of original songs covering starburst blues, galactic rock and asteroid infused americana. The open road is waiting!

Reviews
I returned to playing again since before this update and the game was super fun. NOW im doing few jobs then i get one were the cargo is in another sector and when i jump there it automaticly fails. Then when i reload my game to try agian or try another job i cant undock from the station. It says unavailable.
How come the bot truckers can keep their triple trailers straight at the jump gate but when i try it they fold like 400 ton origami?

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is so fun to play, it runs decently well for me on high graphics, steady 40-50 fps, and its just such fun gameplay
It is a great game about, well, trucking in space! It's not a space combat sim, and it largely contains grabbing things and taking it somewhere else, but it's procedural and encourages you to make sure you're maintaining your truck. With some hooks thrown in there to keep things interesting.
Really good!, This is NOT a quick grab n' play game though. you have to sink a GOOD couple hours to actually enjoy it. If you like truck sims, this one is a must. if you dont like truck sims, but space trucking sounds interesting enough? yeah, also give it a go. I do recommend having a second screen to watch something, or at least a podcast. NOTE FOR DEVS: trucking trailers doesn't give enough cash to be worthwhile, i would tune that a little bit higher. also, show us more missions per post, that would be cool.
Space and truckin'... who woulda thunk?
space trucking is fuuun
Hello trucker friends, I decided to write this review for Star Trucker only after unlocking all achievements and experiencing every aspect of the game, and I can confidently say it was worth it. The game runs consistently smooth, which makes for a very enjoyable experience overall. Thanks to the latest update, the jobs have become much more diverse, and the added customization options bring even more depth and variety. This keeps the gameplay engaging over a long period of time. A big shoutout to the small dev team for creating what has grown into a fairly large and well rounded game. The characters are diverse, and the voice acting is genuinely well done, adding a lot to the overall atmosphere. The only really frustrating part of the game is the debris system. Sometimes debris spawns directly in front of you, especially when you are moving fast and just starting to slow down, which can feel unfair. Aside from that, TruckSim FM is a great addition that makes the experience even more fun and immersive. Overall, the game is a lot of fun, and I can definitely recommend it. If you are looking for a space trucking simulator, this is absolutely the right place!
Well, as always, I'm late to adopt games, this one was released 2 years ago and I believe it was available before that as there are comments on it from pre-September 2024. Anyways! On to the review: It's exactly what you want from your space-trucking sim. It's in space, you drive a truck, and it's a sim! But it does all of those things quite well, you take jobs, you deliver cargo, you get paid. The controls do take time to get used to, or I should say the way you control your vehicle takes time to get used to. You have to toggle a lot things on and off using the mouse and left click, there's no keyboard shortcuts, which adds a lot of authenticity to the game, but it also means you take your eyes off the road a lot. Additionally, there is no strafe or vertical movement, you have to adjust your position by changing where the nose of your truck is pointing, it requires practice and planning each maneuver in advance so you don't end up beside something that you really want to be in front of, especially with a trailer on. Speak of, the trailers in this game act similarly to a real life trailer, in that you need to counter the trailers tendency to sway as you reverse, it has no thrusters of it's own, you're either pulling it, or pushing it (if in reverse). And because you have to do this is 3 dimensions instead of the usual 2 you would with a real life truck and trailer it makes it that much more challenging, best advice here is to just turn around instead of reversing. The maintenance aspect of the game is very cool, you have to replace components, repair holes in your ship.... truck... thing. But this also leads to another "plan ahead" aspect of the game, know the condition of the components in your truck before leaving shops, job boards, or pulling away with your load, a circuit blowing, engine overheating or battery dying in the middle of the highway can really make your life hard. Some tips for beginners: Use the highways, there is a significant amount of debris outside of the highways and every piece can really slow you down, and by that I mean you smash into it, it punches a hole in your hull, and if you don't get out of the truck and patch it by hand fairly quickly you'll run out of oxygen, not to mention hitting things will damage the clients cargo. Take it slow, I keep my speed to 90km/h outside of highways, and even 70 in the more dense debris systems, in this situation it's better to spend 5 extra minutes getting to your destination than it is to have to spend 15 extra minutes jumping out of your truck to repair it 5 or 10 times. The other reason to take it slow is the debris is actually very difficult to see, even with all forward facing cameras as well as your lights on often you won't see debris until its so close it's setting alarms off, and if you're going too fast to be able to slow down and maneuver, or to fully stop (as you may have to if you can't see the debris even with the alarms going, which happens) you'll want to be going slower. Don't be afraid to pull out of the lane of traffic and using your camera to look around at the highways. I struggled to actually visualize the highways at first, at a distance they're nothing more medium-dark gray lines against a dark grey to black background, and with various light sources dotted all over it can be difficult to tell how far away a highway is, and where it leads, not to mention that to get from one side of a system to another often requires using of multiple highways, so you not only have to see the highway, you have to see all the highways. Third person camera is both helpful and a hinderance. The first person view is how I run most of the time, I'll only jump out to third person when I'm in very dense debris, the reason? Because you can only change the direction of your truck and use brake or accelerate in third person, your emergency brake, lights, cruise control settings, and cameras are all only accessible from the interior. Using your cameras (by switching to them on the left and right panels of your dash), some people find the side cameras more helpful, I find the top and bottom cameras most helpful, the reason is because you have adequate side to side vision through the windows in your truck, but the monsterous hood and the completely solid roof obscure your forward vision quite a lot, there's a lot of stuff you can hit and not know it's there without the use of those cameras. The other beneficial thing about the cameras is that they are monochrome (green, like nightvision), so they help contrast space debris when you can't see it with your eyes. Take breaks between jobs, if you have to go to a shop anyways then just rest up for a bit before taking your next job, your engines do overheat and they aren't exactly fast to cool, so running consecutive long distance and/or heavy load jobs can overwork your engines causing them to critically overheat, then you have to pull off the road, jump out, vent them, it's a whole big thing, and totally avoidable by just taking a 15 minute break between each job. You should be looking over your systems between jobs anyways so you don't have failing systems interrupting you mid-haul. Turn non-essential systems off. For the most part this means lights, but also your climate control, keep it to whatever you can get away with (note, external temperatures affect your climate control differently, cold systems means your CC has to work to keep you warm, hot systems and your CC has to work to keep you cool), keeping it survivable, but not "right at 20c/70f", along with keeping nonessential lighting turned off inside the cab will reduce power demand by a bit. A couple of things I'd like to see in the game: First I'd love to see the interior lightswitches moved to somewhere accessible from both the drivers seat and while standing up (or a second set of interior light switches somewhere in the walkable part of the cab), while it's not much of a nuissance to have to sit back down right after standing up just to turn the lights on, just to stand up again (takes a couple seconds each time), forgetting to turn the lights on before standing up 50+ times gets old. A resume button for cruise control, this isn't a major deal, I can certainly survive without it, but modern vehicles have them, so our trucks should too. I'd like to see debris a BIT more visible on the cameras, I get that they are hard to see with your eyes, that makes sense, but the cameras should be able to contrast space debris a bit more. I'd also love it if the highways were a bit more visible from a distance, I think the lighting on them isn't sufficient to know where they are from the other side of the system and can make route planning very difficult, driving from memory is really the best practice as is. Overall I strongly recommend this game.
