About
Hop into the driver's seat of your rocket-powered big rig as you haul cargo, scavenge for salvage and interact with an eclectic cast of star-hopping truckers in this Americana-infused journey on the ultimate open road - space!

Hi, this is Monster and Monster. Star Trucker is our tiny indie team's passion project, and we’re committed to making it the best intergalactic trucking game we can. By listening to the community, we’re working hard to improve the experience with every update. So buckle up and join us for the long haul!

Your truck is not a starship. We’ve taken typical vehicular controls then made sure zero-g momentum played a big part in maneuvers. The result is a unique driving experience that’s easy to pick up yet hard to master!
Cruise the hyper highways, taking on a variety of jobs such as fuel hungry long hauls and hazardous drop-offs to earn cash and unlock new content.
And don't forget to monitor the CB radio for chatter from fellow truckers; it's a fantastic way to uncover side gigs and stay updated on galactic gossip.

Keeping your rig runnin’ isn’t always easy. You’ll need to keep your core systems online, gravity compensator spinnin’ and hull patched to prevent your cab from leaking lung juice.
Be sure to make pre-trip shop stops for replacement parts, and consider upgrading your truck at a local garage. These improvements are vital for safely navigating volatile sectors and ensuring timely deliveries.

Use the galactic map to plan your journey and warp jumps, while keeping an eye on your fuel reserves and power levels.
Once your route is set, kick back, crank up the cab hi-fi and cruise to a selection of original songs covering starburst blues, galactic rock and asteroid infused americana. The open road is waiting!
Sums Steam only; Xbox, PlayStation, GOG publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Reviews
My complaints noted in my original review (below) are still valid. Since then, they have added support for peripheral devices. After adding my joystick and remapping everything, I can now play the game without fighting the controls. It was only then that I was able to discover a really cool game. Watching some YouTube channels on how to manage the batteries in the early game was also very helpful. The recent Ventures update has added more reasons to keep on trucking. I'm still not going to recommend this game to anyone playing mouse and keyboard though. The controls truly do suck and will prevent you from playing. However, playing with a joystick or HOTAS will let you experience what Star Trucker has to offer. So I'll give it a thumbs up with an asterisk(*). Original Review: The PC controls are absolute garbage. They are the exact opposite of intuitive. I had to remap all the movement controls for the truck just to get it to make some sort of sense and even then, it was a struggle. They ignored 3 decades of gaming and decided to just make up their own way of doing ship control. They need to dump the "always on" mouse look while operating the truck. Use some key (like the middle mouse button) to toggle/enable mouse look. Then use mouse control for pitch/yaw. Or something like that. DEVs, look at any other space sim for an example of how to do it. Unity has many tutorials on how to use their new input system so you don't need to try and get a mouse/keyboard control to act like a console controller. Spent WAY too much time nursing batteries. I wanted to haul space containers, instead I spent 1/2 the time buying/selling and swapping batteries. The game looks very cool and I was excited to give it a try but alas, "Now it's just a game that I used to know."

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
