Like Star Trek since a kid and really only a fan of the Original series, but this game is still fun to play being set far into the future. Like the graphics and visuals. Missions are fun, even if sometimes a little hard. I play this on an old desktop and laptop and even on a slow connection the game performs well. If you are a fan of Star Trek I'd give this game a try.
Dumb star trek writing in MMO form, also the game can be really glitchy and buggy sometimes. If you are a hardcore trekkie you are already playing this so my review doesn't matter, this review is for anyone else who might be interested in playing a ST mmo. Flying the various star trek ships around is the coolest part of this game but that fun gets old quick since its just flying from one badly written and designed quest to the next.

Like every other MMORPG I've ever played, it always feels like I suck at playing this, and I'm always surrounded by far superior players. I never got really hooked on it. Even as a free to play title, it is solid 'meh' from me.

loads of fun
TLDR: 2010s MMO with heavy grind and buy-in endgame with extreme Star Trek flair. Over time, playing the story, you will see how far they got with the game over the last decade plus. Early on its a drag but it gets better, content-wise and mechanically. Other than that, its a standard late 2000s MMO, expect a lot of grind for higher gear spread over a dozen systems. Ground battles is kinda rough, sometimes feels like fighting against lag and/or artificial timing issues. Space battles is where the game really shines, its poppy, flashy but expect to die a lot because some enemies hit like trucks. Customizing spaceships is limited, you pick your archetype, change out like 5 parts for 3 types of different looking parts, slap a filter on it, alter some colouring, thats it. Most customization is heavily locked behind the shop as well as new ships. You will get a new free ship until level 50 each 10 levels, after that you can buy some for ingame currency (which is timegated), up to Tier 5. Tier 6 is the real endgame, those ships are only buyable thru premium currency that can technically earned thru playing and trading but thats not really that viable. Tier 6 ships also lock some custom modules for ship customization.
