Paradox should rethink how things like this deflect on their image as a developer and publisher: "Not enough sales? Shut it down lads, better try scamming the community with the next game." They supported this for a much shorter time than Imperator Rome, Cities Skyline 2 looks rough too and I start thinking that their approach with EU5, sorry "Project Caeser" might bey just a tactic to milk the last drop of money from EU4 and then announce what we all knew so they can claim nobody got scammed: "Well we did teaser it was EU5 don't blame us for buying the DLC". "Oh wow we f*cked up another release since the games is buggy as hell or has way less content than it should have, play [previous title] then and hope the game comes close to the predecessor in about 3 years or so unless of course we do a paradox again." Paradox has already become the EA of the strategy genre and we really need a new publisher/developer that was like paradox in their prime.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Not a game for the Pew Pew Kids, a Genuine Strategy Game.
My heart wants to recommend this game as I know the developers wanted to do so much more. But my mind says no as Embracer Group destroyed this game like so many others. It's a shame really, there's so much possibility for greatness and yet greed won out over art. Devs, my best wishes to you all. To the execs at Embracer I hope you suffer for the beloved franchises you have ruined.

Steam Deck Compatibility: Playable? It's barely playable on a dedicated gaming rig. Shame on Paradox for abandoning this. Will not be purchasing anything from them going forward.
They just stopped development on this game. Still, they are selling an unfinished game for 30€. No joke... Do not buy.
while has a number of bugs, this is the star trek game i think we've always wanted. Granted you will need to watch a few guides before you get any good at the game with it's large number of mechianics. but still a great game. 8/10 my only major complaint is that the borg is the only big boss enemy when the dominion could have been added too, with maybe adding the gorn, species 8472 and the tholians as a minor boss encounters you have to deal with too.
This review will not speak much of the state of Star Trek Infinite. Enough has been said by fellow reviewers to fill several volumes. I shall instead use this opportunity to put Paradox Interactive on notice. I joined the Paradox train during the heady times of Victoria 2. This episode, however, has taught me that i must be very careful when spending money on their games henceforth. You have nickel and dimed me and other fans of your work, and for a time, we accepted it without significant complaint. All those little DLCs of varying quality were perhaps your way of continuing to fund support for your projects. But in the words of Jean Luc Picard, "The line must be drawn here. This far, and no further." I will be watching VTM2, albeit with a very sceptical eye. There will be no pre-orders when trust is no longer warranted. You have failed us, and only time will tell if you can ever be trusted again. EDIT (24 Nov 2024): Valve is clamping down on errant developers like Paradox Interactive. Be afraid, be very afraid. If you screw up again and make consumers pay for your mistakes, you will be made bankrupt in short order from refunds.
Abandonware.... Paradox targhlIj yIngagh, yIruch!
