Could have been a great game to rival Stellaris, but abandoned by the developers/publisher only 6 months after release. What a waste.
i got scammed
I'm used to the idea that "Paradox games need to cook a bit". They have a tendency to make really deep, really interesting games, but release them in a kinda garbage state with bugs and unfinished features. It's just how Paradox do. But in this case the game's last update was 7 months ago and I kinda think that's all we're gonna get. It's basically Stellaris with a Star Trek twist, but not as good, and frankly not all that Star Trekky. I've always thought that Stellaris was a little TOO focused on story rather than empire/war but I thought that would actually work great for Star Trek, where story SHOULD trump empire/war. But the whole thing is just kinda half baked.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Another abandoned sci-fi 4X from paradox? Why yes, it is.
Another abandonware from Paradox,so don't buy it.Look the forum about this.
Officially abandoned in a very poor and buggy state. It wouldnt be that bad if you really like Star Trek and then grab it for 10 bucks in a sale.. the issue is that it is has several gamebreaking bugs, huge balance issues and Paradox decided to leave it like that. I truly admired Paradox for their kinda niche global strategy games. But this is the second game in kinda short time they drop dead in a rather questionable state. To quote one of my favourite movielines which turns out to be true way too often: "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain"
Not as bad as the review bombing suggests. I solid Trek experience once you mod in some actual Trek Music :P Yes the game was abandoned but is playable in its current state. Its a very slow and methodical experience overall but can re almost relaxing to play. The game with some added support could of been a little gem which is a shame but what remains is still overall a good experience.
I liked what I played of the game hoping it would get better as updates were released. Well at first the updates were flowing and ST: Infinite was getting slowly better. Then it happened, Nimble and Paradox abandoned it. I may play it again some day but I don't think that day will ever arrive. Play the Star Trek mod for Stellaris or the mod for Sins of a Solar Empire rather than this unfinished mess to get your Star Trek fix.
It hurts me to do this but this game, which is a beloved title for me, has been abandoned. Paradox Devs: Star Trek as a franchise deserves better than what you ended up producing for them...
To all of you who keep saying "Oh the game is actually finished They weren't required to do more" or whatever lie you have to keep telling yourself to justify them abandoning it.... I hope it at least makes you feel better. Yes, I have 188 hours. Besides about 90 hours or so, which the game kept running in the background after I had closed it and was unaware....Most of it was with map mods after struggling to actually finish a game, restarting over and over because my games would crash or glitch out. Rulers would randomly die, events wouldn't fire. And lastly a large portion of time was me trying to keep high hopes that the game would keep going and become better. No it is not a reflection of my moneys worth as 90% of the time spent was horrible, buggy, crash filled and glitchy. None of that matters. This game wasn't finished. Isn't finished and we were all duped. Whether it's the devs fault, their overlords or just shady business practices. Thanks for taking what was probably at least in the top 10 Easiest selling IP's. Making something that COULD have been great and then ruining it.
