this game is good but tacticaly boring :D

This is a great game, how come it does not have sequel : (

Soo i got my first enemy that shoots ultra strong rockets. Anti rocket weapon need a turn to shoot and be placed, but Enemy rocket need only a turn to reach me and destroy my ship. As a result i cant defend, coz i dont know when enemy will shoot rockets. Game over....

Ein sehr taktischer Weltraum-Simulator. Der Kniff ist eine Mischung aus rundenbasiert und Echtzeit: Das Spiel pausiert alle paar Sekunden, dann kann man allen Schiffen Anweisungen geben und sieht dann, wie alles ausgeführt wird - zeitgleich dazu agiert auch der Feind. Eigene und feindliche Einheiten bewegen sich dann gleichzeitig, d.h. man hat kein Realismusproblem wie bei "echtem" rundenbasiertem. Die ersten paar Missionen funktioniert das noch nicht so gut, da der Spieler und der Feind nur wenige Schiffe haben. Später im Spiel wird das Prinzip aber super, da es mit vielen Schiffen auf beiden Seiten richtig gut funktioniert. Das Spiel ist 3-dimensional, d.h. die Schiffe können auch von oben und unten angreifen. Zudem kann man viel taktisches Mikro-Management betreiben (Energieverteilung, ECM, Raketen, Einstellungen für jede einzelne Waffe, Auswahl der Crew...), was hier im Gegensatz zu anderen Spielen auch tatsächlich eine starke Auswirkung hat. Die Missionen werden kontinuierlich besser. Zwischen den Missionen kann man seine Schiffe auswählen, neue Schiffe anfordern und seine Crew aufleveln. Außerdem gibt es oft verschiedene Missionen zur Auswahl, die sich gegenseitig ausschließen - man kann also seinen Weg durch das Spiel bestimmen und der Wiederspielwert ist hoch. Um das Spiel aber richtig zu erleben, empfehle ich unbedingt das Handbuch zu lesen und in Kämpfen auch alle Optionen des Interfaces einzusetzen.

Fun space strategy game. This game basically made up by nothing but space battles so don't expect anything else. The battles are fun and i like the plan and go system, just enough microing. Sadly there are only two factions and there are a lot of repetitive missions and i am just not a fan of the bug faction. Bunch of nonsense ships. But overall i liked the game and i would recommend it to those who like this sort of thing.

This is a tough one, It has a good concept but can't execute like Battlestar Galactica Deadlock did. It does admirably for what it does have but my main issue with the game is the targeting. The Hulks of dead ships remain in space and make it impossible for the enemy to be targeted or finished off, if the hulk floats out into the distance and an AI enemy gets pinned on them. This made it impossible for me to finish the last mission on stream. It happened every single time, i played the last mission to three enemies left.
