Reviews
I hate to post a negative review. This game is a fun concept. But something doesn't feel right, and there are frustrating limitations. First, the strangeness: A huge variety in art styles, no credits, no information about the studio on their Steam page and I can't find any information about them online. They have very little history as a game studio, and little-to-no online presence. I am trying to do my due diligence looking for any proof they are a genuine group of people and artists that are simply new to making games, rather than blindly claim "they used AI" based on vibes alone, but they do not make it easy. I am personally erring on the side of caution and refunding the game. Second, the frustrations: While the premise is fun (buy random items and use punches to make stamps out of them), the lack of any kind of introduction to what you're doing leaves the game feeling unpolished. You can't rotate the items nor the punches, so while I started the game genuinely trying to make cool stamps, I eventually went "Welp. Good enough." and just punched random things. Customers seem to have traits ("penny pincher", "gambler", "impatient"); some of these, I had no idea what impact they had. Overall: I was excited to try this game, but ended up extremely underwhelmed (and a little put-off by the weird vibes I mentioned in the first part). I am a fan of these types of games (Sticky Business my beloved!), but this one was a miss for me. Feedback for improvement, if the devs want it: - provide credits in the game; give me some small reason to believe real people made this art and want to make a cool game! - add a small amount of direction so players can understand the mechanics better - allow more flexibility with making stamps; either rotating the item or the punch, or even changing the size of your punch between small, medium, and large.
Honestly it’s just not fun. I’m a fan of repetitive games with a closed loop, but this loop doesn’t even necessarily make sense. For starters, there’s no type of tutorial, that’s not really needed for how simple it is, but it’s a little weird to just be presented with the screen as is. In the game, you use stamp cutters to cut pictures out of papers you can buy from the shop. Everything in this shop is crazy priced, I don’t collect stamps myself but it’s like 250 coins for any piece of trash and then your stamps sell for 100ish. A lot of the scrap items in the shop don’t even make sense for the game, like hard plastic bottles that behave exactly like paper when you get to the stamping section. The artwork also doesn’t seem like it was made with care to actually be good for the game. There were many times where a piece would have some text on it and I’d think ‘that’d make a good stamp’ only for it to not quite fit into the stamper. Same with many icons in the art, they just didn’t fit into the stamp. There’s no way to tilt either, so if it doesn’t work straight then you’re out of luck. There’s a scrapbook section which seems entirely pointless, I had thought that making stamps for the book was the point of the game, but once you put the stamps in the book and open your shop customers try to buy them off you, which the game obviously wants you to do because it’s the only way to get more coins, and they’ll buy your stamps regardless of what they look like so why actually try to make pretty stamps in the first place? You won’t see them again! The customers also try to sell you stamps. What kind of store is this anyway? I refunded this because it’s just not fun at all, there’s no actual game loop even because you can enter or exit any section at any time. As another reviewer mentioned there is also a lot of variety in the art style in a rather suspicious way. The creators responded that there was no ai used but also that they are not artists, so it still seems very suspicious. I wouldn’t recommend this game at all, get yourself something more stimulating.
no goals or objectives at all. stamps you create can very rarely actually come out nice and after 10 minutes you have pretty much completed all gameplay you can without it being repetitive
this game is so boring so fast. what you do in the first 5min is basically the entire game. you punch out pics, most of which dont fit well inside the puncher. the whole pics that you buy are 250 coins but stamps sell for 100 coins. which would barely turn a profit. and then the balance for buying and selling to customers is horrible. you get like 5 customers per day and most of them just want to sell stamps to you. and they want like 200 coins for stamp that you will only get 100 coins for when reselling. you spend most of the day just telling the sellers to go away so you can get one buyer and turn a meager profit. theres no goals. theres not even achievements to chase. theres no unlocks past what you start with. i got it for $3 and im asking for a refund.
This game is just not as fun as they try make it look. The lack of options to rotate or try to be creative with the stamps is the biggest downside. You'll get bored in less than 15 minutes. I'm usually a big fan of those cozy "craft" of "artsy" games, but I feel like I wasted 3 dollars that could have bought me a chocolate milk instead.
It is indeed satisfying to play. As someone who collects and creates stamps for journaling, this is similar to the experience. I like the buy and sell mechanics to it. I do hope the game will have more updates. One thing though, I can't seem to fool the customers as it appears they know the exact value of a stamp. It's a small thing but kind of takes away the bargaining challenge to it.
Cute game, easy to use, and fun to play. Unfortunately, there isn't much to do yet, so it can get boring fairly quickly. More stickers would be nice, and the sticker packs could be a bit more affordable.
This game is very empty. It is essentially what's in the demo. There really isn't anything more to it. I really wanted this to be a good fun game since the idea of creating your own stamps and collecting or selling them sounds really neat. But the game is just really bad. There's only a few stamp cut-outs to use, and not a ton of things to choose to create the stamps from. Sadly, this game ended up being a half-finished big disapointment. Not recommended.
Very cute and intuitive game :D would love to see some achievements or shop expansions in the future. All in all very sweet. Thank you for making this game :)
