I've had this game wish listed for awhile because it looked interesting and I wanted to play it. I have unfortunately requested a refund after a short play time. A few issues I ran into. Mouse lag: When moving the mouse the on screen cursor would move noticeably later than when you moved your mouse. Frame rate: The frame rate would get some what choppy throughout playing. Character Stuck: I was sneaking around a group of zombies and I hit an invisible wall where the player cannot pass. I turned around to go back another way only to find that I was stuck in place and had to restart the game. After restarting the camera was stuck to just above ground level for a short while before returning to normal. Zombies: Upon returning to the area where you encounter the first zombie, the zombie was not present and then just appeared in the middle of the camp ground. I walked right by him and he simply did not react to my presence. Second Zombie encounter: Upon returning to the area where I got stuck and restarted the game the zombies there did react to my presence and chased me. When I hit the area that crosses you over into the next zone I got stuck in a loading screen that lasted upwards of 5 minutes. I know that the game was developed by a single person and they have clearly put in a lot of work with the game but with just this I have experienced the game in it's current state is unplayable, again in my experience. I definitely wish the developer luck and I hope that the game gets some updates to fix these issues. If and when that happens I'd love to try it again because it does seem genuinely interesting. TLDR: In its current state based on my experience I do not recommend getting the game.
I made a review at the end of the let's play I'll be posting on this soon (YouTube Channel: Lord Aniolist if you want to see the game), but ultimately it was not a bad game, however, I cannot recommend people pay $4 for 20 minutes of walking, I don't think there were any mechanics with the zombies other than don't bump into them. Pros: Voice acting wasn't bad, very tense later on until you realize the zombies can't find you, graphics not bad but I needed to switch everything to medium because even the mouse lags, I was interested to see where the story went until I found there really wasn't much. Cons: Zombies are blind I believe so you don't really have to get away just don't bump into them while moving through the level, mouse was jittery, not much story, lots of walking with nothing happening, I didn't even get the achievement for beating the game, and even though in the game it says you can stun the zombies with the light and make sound to distract them I didn't see any of that (zombies kept walking towards me until i guess they got to the end of their patrol then stopped and I never saw any intractable for sound. Final thoughts: Even though I can't recommend this to just anyone, I did find it creepy and tense, and the story did have me wondering how the other person was going to do, ultimately the things I wanted to see didn't come to pass, the game just ends like it's waiting for a part 2 to finish it. I had a decent time, not a trash game, just not enough reason to buy it unless you're a content creator. Note to dev: Keep it up, you have the bones of good stuff here, just keep working at it and improving and making sure you're getting outside input to build up the meat the right way.
