This was a game I recieved for christmas one year as a child and I spent thousands of hours on it, playing it for years, until one day, it refused to ever work on my computer again. Tried downloading it to another computer eventually and it wouldnt run. Thought my career as a zealot, capturing entire solar systems in the spage stage and invading peoples planet for mediocre spice was over....until i discovered its on steam!!!! A super fun, cute, goofy and ridiculous game for any age.. I'm in my 30's now and its still as magical and fun as when it was in 2008!

played yesterday, tried to play today & it says login failed. wtf is wrong with your game?

I have accumulated potentially several thousands of hours of Spore through different launchers, DLCs, and modded clients. I spent (or wasted?) much of my adolescence on this game for no reason because I yearn to create amalgamations and imperialism that life and reality could not even muster up. I have since then stopped probably, but I leave this review now: yeah its pretty good ig try it if you want Wait, wait, wait a second first though. Before getting the game, make sure you can access servers to use online features (a little optional but). Steam sometimes (aka 99% of the time) won't let you connect unless you play through the EA client or whatever. just purchase carefully on here, or get it wisely on the dinky EA launcher. also the game sometimes has these crash bugs but its honestly really avoidable or just bearable to some extent.

I wish EA let this game and servers continue as this game was my childhood!! I enjoyed making creative critters and more for fun. Thank you EA for making such a beautiful and goofy game!!!
