Can you survive 1000 rooms of cute terror? Or will you break once the cuteness starts to fade off and you're running for your life from the unspeakable hideous beings that shake and writhe in bowels of this house? They wait for you, they wait and hunger for meeting you.

This is among my favorite horror games of all time. While it may not be the scariest of the bunch, it strikes in my opinion a perfect balance of goofing around and being serious when the time is right. Katamari Hospital and The Doll House are far more traditional horror experiences and can be pretty scary, as well as providing a lot of the lore for the game. While I personally like the endless feeling gameplay of running through rooms in the 1000 rooms part of the game, it can be rather repetitive, but in my opinion it makes up for it with awesome monster designs, environments, and sound design. I also believe it is worth noting that this version, compared to the free original game, features an option to disable the random, unnecessary jumpscares throughout the game. It also includes both DLCs for free, alongside being a dramatically improved experience in general of course. I think we need more silly solo horror games of this nature, to be honest. It feels like theyve been relegated to multiplayer type games in the modern era and its lamee.
Adorable love letter to the horror-genre <3

This is a pretty good little indie game, definately a walking simulator though, I will say that a big problem I have with the game is that after a while, it gets stale. I wish that they had spent more time on the unique areas instead of just having 60-70% of the game be copy pasted levels, although I guess considering that this game sort of leans into the dungeon crawler genre as well that can be seen as an evolution of the genre. I like the idea that all the monsters are refrences to to other games in the horror genre, even getting kinda niche with what theyre refrencing, I really enjoyed the pyramid head one in particular, I thought the mechanic was neat with it changing the textures of the room to disorient you, and I also liked the wendigo enemy a lot as well, they did a really good job setting it up and the design was pretty good. There were some enemies such as the P.T. reference and the Aliens reference that I found to be annoying though. Overall it's a pretty decent game, definately pick it up at any price, its nice to burn 3-5 hours on.
