About
Welcome to SPEAR—because fixing the game you’re playing wasn’t exactly on your bucket list, was it?
Imagine your heroic protagonist just got wiped out by a "fatal error". Yeah, typical Monday stuff. And now, some random background NPC named Default, who's literally just armed with a glorified stick, has to save the entire digital world. No pressure then, right? Dive into this glitch-ridden, action-packed platformer, full of quirky mechanics, broken quests, and secrets that should probably stay buried in corrupted code. Remember, heroes are overrated anyway.
There are potions you're definitely not supposed to drink. So obviously, you'll chug them right away, and items that'll turn you into... something. Maybe you'll fly, maybe you'll explode, maybe you'll just regret everything immediately. Welcome to inventory roulette!
Sure, spears are traditionally for poking holes in things. But this isn't any old spear, it's an overachiever. Use it to impale annoying bugs, call it back with your mind, slow down time, get across impossible gaps, and even transform it into a platform. It's the Swiss Army knife of sticks.
The player's dead, and the NPCs have absolutely nothing better to do than moan about their broken quests. Guess whose job it is to fix that mess? Hint: it's yours. Time to play therapist for a bunch of depressed NPCs who didn't even bother to learn your name.
Explore an increasingly bizarre world, unlocking new levels, hidden secrets, and delightful surprises behind every corrupted pixel. It’s thrilling, like stepping on digital Lego and shouting profanity.
The game's so gloriously broken that the difficulty spikes whenever it feels like it. Just when you think you’re safe, bugs mutate into explosive, rage-filled nightmares. And here's the kicker: the stronger you get, the angrier the bugs become. Going back to earlier levels? Oh, you'll wish you hadn't. It’s a beautiful cycle of violence and regret.

At this point, I can safely say I’m addicted to this game. I’ve completed it and replayed it twice. The last run was a speedrun attempt. I’d love to see time trials added, the movement is so fluid and fun when you learn the spear tricks. There’s real potential here for the speedrunning community. This is a rock-solid game. I never expected to spend this much time on it, but it’s easily landed in my top 3 indie games.
Consigliatissimo.
A friend of mine suggested me this game, saying, it's Dark Souls of platforms... I didn't agree until the 4th level, the Mines. And from there onward it's pure evil. I loved every jump and every bump. At the end of the game you become one with the Spear. I won't spoil, but there's a hint of romance, I wanted to see more. But probably that's just me. I loved this little gem and I'll play it again if it releases on console. Oh, and I'm not really sure, but I think there are multiple endings.
really fun and creative platformer with beautiful visuals and smooth gameplay, levels are smartly designed with little puzzle moments that feel rewarding when you figure them out. I really liked using the spear in different ways, especially once I learned it could push me into the air. The animations and sound design are top quality and make the world feel alive. Controller support works well overall and the game runs great. It feels like a fresh mix of action and humor with some clever ideas. I had a great time and fully enjoyed the experience 💯❤️
This is a short platformer with some fun concepts and simplistic systems. The controls are fine, though not great, and the UI could use some work to feel more polished. However, the use of the spear is good and most of the levels are fun to explore. There's secrets and mini-quests to take on to extend the playtime a bit, but it's still fairly short and to the point. There's nothing revolutionary here, but there's good variety and fun to be had if you generally like platformers.
This game is absolute gold, hidden, unappreciated gem! How many times I died in not even an hour? Yes, I'm questioning myself if it's skill issue but then BAM! random spikes or whatever will come in my face This is how games should look like, made with passion and fresh ideas Physic of this game is insanely good and humour is peak. Thank you. I will 100% it super hard
Che bella sorpresa! Mi sta piacendo parecchio. Lo sto giocando su Steam Deck, gira benissimo. Lo slow motion della lancia è fighissimo, molto bello. Cercherò di completarlo, anche se è abbastanza tosto.
