About
Join Cora West for a whirlwind of forbidden romances found in the depths of a decadent illegal jazz club in Prohibition-era Los Angeles. Decide if she can make it out with her heart intact or lose herself in the glamor and excess.
Will you fall in love? Rule the city?
Or damn it all and descend into ruin?
The choice is yours.

Speakeasy is a story-rich otome visual novel with a female protagonist. Each route contains several erotic scenes with fully uncensored accompanying CGs.
Within the game is a common route and six possible romance routes: four routes with single male love interests, one sapphic love interest, and one polyamorous route with two male love interests. All routes are unlocked at the start of the game and there is no requirement to complete certain routes to unlock others. Routes may be played in any order, but it's recommended to play Vincent Harlowe last.
The game has 19 possible ends and approximately 35 hours of gameplay to collect all possible scenes, endings, and CGs.
The main character can be customized with four different skin tone selections (appearing in CGs and in the on-screen sprites), and the name can be customized.

Forced into an arranged marriage, Cora West rebels against the norms of her class and runs away, intent on forging her own path in life. But she quickly finds herself falling directly into the laps of some of the city’s most notorious citizens.
What Cora encounters outside the iron gates and manicured lawns of the West Estate in Prohibition-era Los Angeles is a bright, exciting, and equally dangerous city pulsing to the beat of jazz music and drowning in the illegal liquor of the most decadent underground clubs around. Vincent Harlowe’s speakeasy is beyond her wildest dreams–and sometimes even her worst nightmares.
Direct her actions and determine whether she will make it out with her heart intact or lose herself in the glamor and excess.

Speakeasy is an R18 game that features dark and mature subject matter. Depicted within the game are: tobacco use, alcohol use, drug use, violence, prostitution, nudity, explicit sexual content, death (including murder and suicide), kidnapping, humiliation, violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and adultery.

I'm gonna say yes for recommendation, but with a very big caveat...? First, the positive: The art's pretty, there's some really fun character dialogue and plots. I really like Vincent, the poly route was surprisingly much better than I was expecting (I LOVE Nika and Max), I love Silas and Milo's routes immensely. It's a historical otome, and I would love to see more of them. I even admit I like everything enough to where I'll be (eventually) purchasing Speakeasy: Last Call so that I can read more of these characters and their adventures. So obviously I do like it. So there's two complaints I have, and it's these. 1) Some routes feel jarring with their resolutions/progress and shifts in character behaviors, and two routes in particular feel significantly shorter as an experience, like they start and then get wrapped up very easily. I felt like Dhalia's and Will's routes in particular felt more like afterthoughts and seem sidelined. 2) Almost everyone except a few of the guys seem FAR more interested in each other than the protagonist 90% of the time. There's something jarring about how the premise is otome, but the writing feels more like it really wants to be a BL game. And hey, I'd be totally ok with a BL game, I own plenty, but I came for an otome - which is what was advertised! There's even a route where the protagonist is romancing Guy A, and the route pauses to focus on Guy A and Guy B having had sex, or wanting to have sex but Guy B turning him down, before the route resumes? And it just feels like the writing is going 'yeah, you may be here, but this character really wants to bone this guy more' in that moment. Uh, okay? It feels extra unnecessary when those same characters are having their open relationship mentioned and elaborated upon in every single other route, too, so it happening even with Guy A's route felt like trying to throw strawberries on an overloaded cake - pardon the poor analogy. And hey, if they usually prefer men but the protagonist is the exception - then why isn't that the angle being elaborated upon within the writing itself? I'd have been more ok with that, too, but instead the game just keeps acting like almost everyone likes men and women relatively equally, but the demonstration is all men all the time (minus perhaps Milo) with the lady being an exception as she invades their lives. I did enjoy that there was the presence of men interested in each other in the game, I just felt the extent of it was a little odd for an otome and tried to elaborate on where that might be so others who might feel less enjoyment from the game can make an informed decision on it for themselves. *Funnily enough, I am not including Nika and Maxim in this during their poly route - it truly felt like they were all equally invested in each other and the protagonist to me, but that's my take on it and other reviews clearly feel otherwise.
Ended up asking for a refund after 1h of gameplay. Well, I wouldn't call that gameplay. I know it's a visual novel but there is almost no choices at all. Rah, women really don't get any good porn games.. I'm really disappointed because the story and the design really got me excited.
Just wow (・ω・ノノ゙ This game was so much fun I bought an extra showcase to add it to my steam profile♥️ I'd like to replay happy endings again one day, they were so hot! Tragic endings made me cry more than once T_T They really hurt a lot :( Speakeasy Endings are so lewd and spicy. Absolutely every outcome was way too powerful and emotional. Bravo! <3 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3556397446 Praises : +The setting is awesome! It felt so good to immerse myself into that period of time: music, clothes, those black-&-white old photos for some characters, historical facts, my own country included, I was deeply impressed! +All the characters are so bright, unique, with their bracing backgrounds, I couldn't help but sympathize all of them T_T It was so powerful, I couldn't control myself. I was forced to feel such intense hatred to a character in a couple of routes but then I couldn't help but cry my eyes out playing through his own route. Amazing! There was never a boring scene. +I'd like to thank esp for that immense pleasure of playing through Maxim's route(●♡∀♡))ヾ☆*。 He and his muzh :D are too handsome! All those occasional Russian words, historical facts, like revolution, all that made playing through his route so relatable, extra emotional. I saved his good ending for last, as a final touch of the whole novel. Mmm that kind of relationship is just perfect, like a dream, I can't remember anything similar, no poly route can be compared to this ideal bond<3 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3562122946 +I love how diverse the content here is. So many tragiс things described, they pushed my buttons in every route. I sincerely suffered with the characters, it's written so vividly, I applaud. MC seems insufferable at the beginning of the majority of routes but it's understandable considering her background. It's great to see her change. Her circumstances, despite time difference, still feel too relatable :( I heard myself more than once that it's my duty to my country and society to bear a child, find a husband... If you do what YOU not your parents want you're called selfish, all those details struck a chord with me a lot. I experienced such a wild roller-coaster of emotions. Happy endings were so good I was beaming, my mood lifted for the whole day :D but tragic endings were way too cruel :(( If only every novel was this potent to evoke such powerful emotions(・ω・ノノ゙ Complaints : --I like the overall quality but the text still needs some editing. I've encountered just one typo 'a ornamental' BUT several times it was 'povname' at the start of the sentence O_o once it was 'Archie' not up the text box but at the beginning of the sentence. In three routes O_O in bad endings the name I chose was presented in the text box BUT in the sentences it was default Cora all the time, that weird mixture was too distracting :( But it was this way in so many routes that I started to doubt myself that perhaps it's not a flaw but a feature :D like in such tragic endings you lose your chosen identity :) if it's really like this, I don't like it. I appreciate my native Russian, I wonder if one of the devs knows it or who they consulted for it. But, for example, 'Speshit' has a weird form as he addresses mc, it should be 'Pospeshim' or even maybe 'PorA' sounding similar to default Cora :D btw about her name, at first I didn't understand what he meant saying mc's name sounds like Russian tree bark :D But then thanks to that bizarre mixture of protagonist's names mentioned above I recollected that's her name the game offers BUT I always change them, so this comparison has zero sense for players like me :( and it's repeated twice in different scenes :( If you really like that joke so much, perhaps it would be a good idea to keep it as a second name. If I'm not mistaken the number of them is not limited to two, or the text should be changed, dunno if it's technically possible to keep it only in case the players stick to a default name. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3563460949 --I don't like the way the gallery is organized :( Looking at all those slots I was anticipating some juicy images buut in reality every route has only about a couple of sultry scenes, it's just every slight variation of it occupies a separate slot :( ig otherwise they couldn't present all skin options but honestly I found that too distracting :(( I wanted to enjoy all those moments again but found not me, not mc but some other woman with a different skin color, spoils all immersion :(( --It's great that you don't need any patches for adult content. Intimate CGs are so pretty, plus it's really a rare case to have revealing erotic otome :(( So WHY when it's not a CG the chars are always in their underwear O_o You read through such exciting details but it doesn't match what you see in sprites :( --I need mooooore save slots T_T At least enough to save before EVERY choice :( I'm so happy I've bought this game, it was an extremely pleasant read. I can't wait to try their fandisk as well. Consider me a fan now :D

[th]More thoughts about the game in a Reading Nook [/th]

I was genuinely excited for this game, especially since there are so few well-made erotic games designed with women in mind. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a major disappointment. I can accept an Mc being irritating due to her upbringing, but when the characters have more chemistry with each other than with the one they're meant to be involved with, something's clearly off. I couldn't even finish two routes because the experience became increasingly uncomfortable. Sadly, this ended up being the worst purchase I've ever made in terms of visual novel games.
Unfortunately, this game was not for me. First, the positive: the art is very nice and the CGs are well drawn for an R18 game. The story did not catch me, though. I think you might need to be really a fan of this era of 1920s America (probably if you are US-American you might have more fun with it) and like joyful jazz music a lot. I thought the music did not fit all situations in the game, as it was indeed mostly happy music, but some scenes were more tense. But the biggest issue was mostly that I did not really like the LIs - especially I am not a big fan of LIs that have liaisons with each other or different people than MC. The spicy scenes were ok so far, but some of those were also quite disturbing (in Vincent´s route). If you can oversee all that, you can give it a try.
Surprisingly long story compared to what I was expecting--several hours and I got through to Vincent's "bad" ending quite fast, but I went back and I'm over 6 hours and still have not finished through Vincent's path yet. The music is fantastic, background for the bar in the speakeasy has a cartoon sloth? which is very distracting, but kind of funny. I absolutely cannot stand the lingerie/underwear. Modern undergarments in a 1920's inspired game? Jarring and the developer putting their name on it as a logo like it's Calvin Klein? Worse. The dialogue is so good! Then comes the underwear and I'm like it was better with clothes on, just cut away and put in more cut-scene art. You don't have a whole lot of time to get to know the characters and their preferences prior to choosing who you want to romance--I wish you got to learn a little more about each character first. Playing through Vincent's story, there are a lot of things I found out about other characters that may have made me more interested in those paths had I known them before choosing Vincent. Like I said before, it is well written, albeit verbose at times. Not many choices truly change the course of the story. Recommend saving at those points because it is not obvious when choices may force the story in a different direction. Overall, compelling--feels like a novella--I wish the cut-scenes were actually like the videos they play at the beginning, but alas...
Nerde romantizm? Nerde build-up? Bu erotik değil bildiğin smut ve onu da iyi yapmıyor. Yine de bu ekonomide bu oyuna 7 dolar verdiğim için oynayıp bitireceğim, sadece Silas ve Milo'dan biraz umutluyum, bakalım.
God, I really love this game.

It's SO unhinged, but in a good way.
Vincent
A solid visual novel. The art style for the character models is nice and the idea of giving NPCs tiny old fashioned portraits is a smart idea to save on budget while still giving them something to represent themselves with. The backgrounds are all black and white static images that also look like they might be photos, while servicable they aren't all that impressive. The jazzy music that occasionally plays is nice, especially in the opening and closing credits (which is also where the only real animation occurs). For the plot, it's quite engaging, a real coming of age story for the protagonist with a nice selection of bachelors. It can be sweet or dark depending on your choices so it has tone to suit anyone's tastes. It doesn't do anything new with the gameplay format of a visual novel, it only has a half dozen choices so you'll spend 99% of the time just reading. But if you're okay with a solid story and dating some hunky men in a somewhat underused timeframe then this is the one for you.
CG are very very BAD
