Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 8.86/day in the week to Aug 10 → 12.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

una mierda
My childhood in the 2000's was basically on dial-up internet. Due to money reasons, my family could only connect to the internet during weekends. I spent the offline time by playing outside, by watching disaster or sci-fi movies, or exploring and learning to mod Celestia. Celestia was much like Space Engine in terms of objective: a 3D sandbox of the known universe for you to explore. Celestia's development faded out over time, with the last update around 2011. I was a teenager by that time. I finished high school, started college, and my young adult days had me discovering Space Engine, wondering if the computers at the campus could run it and even ticketing the staff to include it on the labs. For a long time, I dreamed of having a machine capable of running Space Engine, as it was absurdly superior to Celestia in many ways. I bought it even when I couldn't run it yet. As the years passed, I slowly upgraded until I was able to use it as intended. It is a gorgeous software. Unlike Celestia, it populates the universe with randomized stars, planets, nebulae, galaxies, and countless types of objects. Some may complain about this, but the naming convention adopted can clearly point out what is real and what is randomly generated - and it's not like the randomly generated content is not - even if slightly - based on science either. With updates, there might be occasional hiccups, but they seem to be fixed after a while, so the software is pretty stable. There have been major updates throughout the years, like better graphics, volumetric planetary rings, volumetric nebulae, and volumetric accretion disks. I can only imagine what else is there in the plans, even if they take a long time to implement, maybe better terrain generation or volumetric clouds? I wouldn't know, but I can hope. There is no better software that fills this niche. If you just want to spend an hour visiting Jupiter, or the black hole in the center of the Milky Way, or go to a specific star that you saw in the sky on your way home, this is it. It is limitless. And if you want to seed a person's passion for science and the universe, leave a child alone and offline with this software for a few days: curiosity is great, and something that encourages that has to be praised.
